The dangers of running at night

People who like sports should often do one sport, which is running. I feel that everyone has different living habits. Some people choose to run in the morning, while some people like to run in the evening, and some people run in both the morning and the evening. However, some people think that running at night is harmful to the body. So what are the dangers of running at night?

Disadvantages of running at night

1. Normally, the temperature at night is lower than that during the day, especially in spring and autumn. The temperature difference between day and night is very large. If you do not pay attention to keeping warm when running at night, your body will be invaded by the cold air and you may have cold symptoms. Sometimes, it even lays the foundation for chronic diseases such as rheumatism and arthritis.

2. If a person exercises too much when running at night, his brain will be in an excited state for a long time, which will make it difficult to fall asleep at night. After falling asleep, he may also have adverse reactions such as dreaming and unable to sleep deeply, which seriously affects the quality of sleep. Our bodies will become weak due to lack of sleep, leading to adverse reactions such as lack of energy, decreased memory and judgment. If this continues for a long time, it will pose a huge threat to physical health.

3. When going out for a run at night, many people have just finished dinner, and the food has not been fully digested in the stomach. If you run under such circumstances, it will affect the body's digestive function, causing indigestion and even vomiting.

4. Due to the weak light at night, human vision will be greatly reduced. Accidents are likely to happen in places with insufficient lighting or no lighting at all. For example, when we are running, there are some small stones or other obstacles on the road that are not easy to find. If we don’t see them, we may fall or sprain our body.

5. In order to avoid crowds and traffic, many people who run at night choose to run on some remote and sparsely populated trails. This poses a huge safety hazard, especially for female runners, who are easily harmed by criminals.

In fact, these bad aspects of running at night can be completely avoided as long as running enthusiasts pay attention to precautions. For example, when running at night, you should carry a flashlight or wear a hat with a top light, wear brightly colored clothes, keep warm while running, and control the amount of exercise. Finally, I would like to remind everyone: if you must go to a place with few people when running at night, you should go with a friend and never go alone.
