Sodium hypochlorite is a very common chemical substance. Many people may not have heard of it, but they must know bleaching powder. This is one of the substances. It has a very good disinfecting effect, but you need to be particularly careful when using it. The wrong method is very likely to cause skin burns. Therefore, it is best to wear protective gloves when using sodium hypochlorite to protect your hands and skin. How to use Choose commercially available bleach containing sodium hypochlorite and dilute it before use. The general concentration of bleach is 5-6%. Disinfect with diluted household bleach. (I) Six steps of "threading, thinning, wiping, stopping, flushing and discarding": 1. "Wear": Wear an apron, mask and gloves to protect your hands. 2. "Dilute": Dilute bleach 3. Rub: Disinfect by wiping or soaking, do not spray, and keep ventilation. 4. Stop: After wiping, let it sit for 5-10 minutes to allow the bleach to truly exert its sterilizing effect. The contact time for immersion disinfection is recommended to be more than 30 minutes. 5. Rush: Rinse or wipe the area you just cleaned and disinfected with clean water. 6. Abandonment: Unused bleach should be disposed of in the following manner. Sodium hypochlorite will gradually decompose over time, so unused bleach should be discarded after 24 hours. (1) Dilute the used bleach with a large amount of water (no less than 100 times) before pouring it out. Entering the kitchen sewer or outdoor ditch will less likely pollute the water source. (2) Store the bleach in a sealed container. Over time, the bleach will automatically oxidize and need to be poured out. Precautions 1. Do not apply pressure during flushing and the needle should not block the root canal to prevent the solution from exceeding the apical foramen and damaging the tissues around the apex. In order for the medicinal solution to reach the apical 1/3 of the root canal, it should be used after the root canal has been fully prepared and unobstructed. 2. It should be prepared freshly and stored in a sealed container away from light and heat. 3. It is irritating to the mucous membrane at high concentrations. Notes on operation: Operate in a closed environment with full ventilation. Operators must undergo special training and strictly abide by operating procedures. It is recommended that operators wear direct-type gas masks (half masks), chemical safety glasses, anti-corrosion work clothes, and rubber gloves. Prevent vapors from escaping into the workplace air. Avoid contact with acids. Be careful when handling to prevent damage to the packaging and containers. Equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment. Empty containers may contain hazardous residues. Storage precautions: Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. The warehouse temperature should not exceed 30℃. It should be stored separately from acids and should not be mixed. The storage area should be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and appropriate containment materials. |
