Is sleeping on the floor harmful to the body?

We often see people sleeping on the floor when watching Korean or Japanese dramas, and in China, some people, such as migrant workers, also often sleep on the floor. Especially in the summer, many people sleep directly on the floor to keep cool. In fact, sleeping on the floor is harmful to the body, because when people sleep, a certain amount of heat will be discharged, and the ground is often very hard concrete. The water evaporated from the body when people sleep cannot be absorbed, which can easily cause harm to the body.

If you often sleep on the floor, and the floor is too cold or too hard, you may easily suffer from lumbar muscle strain and rheumatism. The specific analysis is as follows:

1. The floor is made of poured cement or paved with tiles, which will absorb moisture and cold air, even if you live upstairs. Therefore, sleeping on the floor makes it easy for wind, cold and dampness to invade the human body. In addition, the weather is hot and people sweat a lot, and their sweat pores are open. If you want to stay cool and sleep on the floor, you are more susceptible to invasion of wind, cold and dampness, which directly cause pain in the bones, muscles and joints, and may even induce rheumatism, causing pain in the shoulders, back, buttocks and limbs.

2. Because the floor is hard, sleeping on it will not only fail to relieve fatigue, but will also make you feel sore and uncomfortable all over, affecting your sleep quality.

3. Experts remind that if you always sleep on the floor, your body's resistance will decrease, making you more susceptible to colds, fevers, coughs, sore throats or headaches.

At present, people living in commercial and residential buildings in cities usually lay wooden floors in their rooms. If you sleep on wooden floors, there is usually no problem because there is a certain height between the wooden floors and the ground. If you sleep directly on concrete floors, you should pay attention to the fact that you should lay thicker floors or put some mats underneath, because concrete floors transfer heat quickly and people are more likely to catch cold if they sleep on concrete floors. Koreans and Japanese sleep on the floor, which means they put a mat and then a quilt on the floor. It is best not to sleep on the floor often. Sleeping on the floor often has an impact on human health because there is a lot of floating dust in a certain space on the ground.
