What causes chloasma

What causes chloasma

Chloasma is a problem that bothers many women, especially middle-aged women, who are more likely to develop chloasma. Chloasma greatly affects the beauty of the face, and the clinical causes of chloasma are also very complex and diverse. If you want to solve the problem of chloasma, you must understand the cause fundamentally and prescribe the right medicine. This is also related to people's physical fitness, so you should also pay attention to conditioning.

1. Imbalance of Yin and Yang in the human body:

① Liver Qi stagnation causes blood stasis on the face; ② Spleen and stomach weakness, Qi and blood cannot moisturize the face, damp heat rises to the face to form spots; ③ Kidney Yang deficiency, Yang Qi diffuses, blood stasis on the face forms chloasma.

2. Endocrine factors:

After pregnancy, the placenta secretes more androgen and progesterone, so pregnant women often have symmetrically distributed chloasma on their cheeks. Chloasma during pregnancy begins at 3 to 5 months of pregnancy, and the pigmentation spots gradually disappear after delivery. Facial pigmentation may be due to the combined action of estrogen and progesterone, which stimulate melanocytes, while progesterone promotes the transport and diffusion of melanosomes, increases the production of melanin and promotes pigmentation.

3. Drug factors:

9% to 20% of women who take oral contraceptives for a long time are prone to chloasma, and some even develop facial spots after taking oral contraceptives for one month; in addition, they also take medicines for high blood pressure and diabetes.

4. Disease factors

Some chronic diseases such as gynecological diseases, chronic hepatitis, liver disease, tuberculosis, cancer, malignant lymphoma and chronic alcoholism. Long-term use of certain drugs such as phenytoin sodium, hibernation spirit, and birth control pills can cause chloasma. Tuberculosis and other diseases can cause tyrosinase activity to increase and melanin production to increase, while the body's own ability to eliminate melanin is weakened. Once melanin cannot be excreted from the body in time, chloasma will occur on the face over time.
