How to treat stress disorders?

In modern life, people face great pressure to survive. People who are busy working for a living neglect to take care of their bodies, resulting in the emergence of various diseases. For example, stress disorder is a disease problem caused by the superposition of various factors, which has a great impact on people's mental state. Let’s take a look at how to treat stress disorders. I hope everyone can understand.

Stress-related disorders refer to a group of functional mental disorders caused by the direct effects of strong or persistent psychosocial factors. The characteristics of this group of diseases are: psychosocial factors are the direct cause; clinical manifestations are closely related to mental stimulation factors; after the cause is eliminated or the environment is changed, the mental symptoms of most patients should disappear one after another; the prognosis is good, and there are no personality defects, etc. Stress-related disorders are divided into three categories: acute stress disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and adjustment disorder.

Psychological and behavioral therapy: The first priority is to get the patient out of the traumatic environment as soon as possible and avoid further stimulation; when the patient is able to be contacted, establish a good doctor-patient relationship, communicate and talk with the patient, and provide the patient with explanatory psychotherapy and supportive psychotherapy, which may achieve good results; help the patient to establish his own powerful psychological stress coping methods, play a personal buffering role, and avoid excessive harm; do not avoid discussing stressful events with the patient, but let the patient recall the course of the event in detail, what the patient saw, heard, and did. Such a discussion will help reduce the negative evaluation of their feelings that some patients may have. Remind patients that, in most cases, people are unlikely to do more satisfactorily when faced with an emergency.

Drug treatment: It is mainly symptomatic treatment and is also one of the main measures to be taken in the acute phase. Patients who present with agitation or acute psychotic symptoms should be given appropriate antipsychotic drugs. If the patient has symptoms of depression or anxiety, appropriate antidepressants or antianxiety drugs can be given. The drug dosage should be medium or small, and the treatment course should not be too long. Appropriate medication can relieve patients' symptoms more quickly, making it easier for psychotherapy to be implemented and effective.
