Bladder cancer has a great harmful effect on the patient's body, and this disease is difficult to cure. In addition to receiving surgical treatment in time after the disease, patients also need to pay attention to relevant nursing work after the operation. So, how to care for this disease? What are the things that bladder cancer patients need to pay attention to? Let's learn about it together. 1. Encourage bladder cancer patients to eat a high-protein, high-carbohydrate, high-vitamin, low-residue diet. If necessary, supplement with albumin or isotype plasma (plasma: the liquid component of blood, in which blood cells are suspended. Its main function is to carry blood cells, substances needed to maintain human life activities and waste produced in the body, etc.) and whole blood intravenously as prescribed by the doctor to enhance the body's resistance and promote wound healing. 2. Observe the changes in body temperature of patients with bladder tumors 3 times a day, and change to once a day after it returns to normal. When the body temperature is >38.5℃, monitor 4 times a day, and when the body temperature is >39℃, monitor 6 times a day. 3. Maintain continuous bladder irrigation and smooth drainage of various flow tubes to prevent twisting, compression and falling off, and prevent urine retention, secondary infection and bleeding. 4. For patients with indwelling urinary catheters, encourage them to drink more water to increase urine output and flush the bladder. 5. Maintain continuous bladder irrigation and unobstructed drainage of ureteral stents or bladder drainage tubes to prevent urine leakage. Once the wound dressing is wet or contaminated, replace it in time. 6. After the bladder drainage tube is removed, the skin around the fistula or anus is often irritated by urine and becomes red. The local skin should be kept clean and dry as much as possible, and cleaned with a soft towel or cotton ball. If necessary, apply zinc oxide ointment to protect the skin. 7. If symptoms of bleeding occur, strengthen anti-inflammatory and hemostatic treatments as prescribed by the doctor. If the bleeding is difficult to control, actively complete preoperative preparations while combating hemorrhagic shock and perform emergency surgery to stop the bleeding. 8. Observe the color of the continuous bladder irrigation drainage fluid. The general flushing speed is about 100 drops per minute. Once the color of the drainage fluid deepens, speed up the flushing speed to about 200 drops per minute, or even input the liquid in a line to minimize the time the blood stays in the bladder to avoid the formation of blood clots. 9. Once a blood clot is found in the drainage tube, try to suck it out of the tube to avoid squeezing it into the bladder, so as to prevent the blood clot from blocking the internal opening of the urethra, causing acute urinary retention, leading to infection, and inducing heavy bleeding. Since bladder cancer is highly recurrent, patients may not recover immediately after surgery. In order to recover better, patients must pay attention to postoperative care to avoid recurrence of the disease. I wish patients to get rid of the torture of bladder cancer as soon as possible and recover their health soon. |
