Do you know the three main causes of knuckle pain?

Finger joint pain is a common symptom, especially among middle-aged and elderly people, or those who do heavy manual labor. They are prone to finger joint pain, which is closely related to arthritis and bacterial infection. When such symptoms appear, you should go to the hospital for diagnosis in time. After determining the cause, you should receive timely and effective treatment. You must also pay attention to keeping warm in your daily life.

1. Osteoarthritis:

This is the most common cause of finger joint pain, caused by tissue degeneration and cumulative strain. It is more common in obese and overweight middle-aged and elderly people. The most common sites of the disease are the knees, fingers, neck, lumbar spine, etc. The main symptoms are joint pain and stiffness (the pain will be relieved after slight activity). In severe cases, joint swelling and muscle atrophy may occur.

2. Septic arthritis caused by bacterial infection:

Rheumatoid arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis caused by autoimmune or allergic reactions, gouty arthritis caused by metabolic disorders, and traumatic arthritis caused by trauma, etc.

3. Joint osteoarthritis:

This is also the cause of pain in the finger joints, which can be manifested by swelling and bony growths in the joints - bone spurs. It often occurs at the finger joints, but can also occur at the joints between the fingers. Hyperplastic arthritis usually occurs in older people, often over 40 years old, first appearing in one or several fingers, and then affecting other fingers. The affected joints may become red, swollen and painful. Morning stiffness is common and can be severe but lasts only briefly, less than 20 minutes. X-ray examination showed bone hyperplasia.
