There are tenosynovitis all over the human body, but it is most obvious in the hands and is also the most prone to problems. Many people have tenosynovitis in their fingers, and they should take some correct treatment measures to prevent the condition from worsening and burdening the body. Early patients can exercise the joints, repair and relax the local area, and cooperate with the doctor's massage and acupuncture. The effect is very obvious, but it should be noted that for those who have been ill for a long time and have repeatedly not received effective treatment, it can be solved through micro-surgery. In order to prevent repeated attacks after treatment, patients need to rest for a period of time, but stop the work at hand, no more than two hours a day, and need to rest for about an hour. This will give the body's joints time to rest, and inflammation and disease will naturally stay away. What to do with tenosynovitis The tendon sheath is a sheath-like structure that surrounds the tendon. The outer layer is fibrous tissue, which is attached to the bones and adjacent tissues and plays a role in fixing and protecting the tendons. The inner layer is the synovium, which nourishes the tendon and secretes synovial fluid to facilitate the sliding of the tendon. Due to repeated excessive friction, the tendon and tendon sheath become inflamed, edematous, and the fibrous sheath wall thickens to form a narrow ring. The fibrosis and thickening of the tendon make it difficult for the tendon to slide in the sheath, which is stenosing tenosynovitis. Digital tenosynovitis often occurs in the thumb and middle finger. The affected finger may have flexion and extension dysfunction, which is particularly obvious when waking up in the morning and can be alleviated or disappear after activity. Sometimes, a pea-sized nodule can be felt on the affected finger. The pain sometimes radiates to the wrist, and there may be tenderness when the metacarpophalangeal joint is flexed. When bending the affected finger, the finger may suddenly get stuck in a semi-bent position, unable to straighten or flex, causing unbearable pain. With the help of the other hand, the finger can move again, producing a trigger-like action and sound, so it is also called "trigger finger" or "snapping finger". The following treatment measures can be taken: 1. Reduce the activity of fingers in the early stage so that the parts can rest; 2. Massage and acupuncture have certain therapeutic effects; 3. Inject hydrocortisone acetate, triamcinolone acetate, and prednisolone acetate into the tendon sheath for local closure, which has a good effect; 4. For patients with a long course of disease and repeated attacks, and the above treatments are ineffective, the narrow part of the tendon sheath can be incised and partially removed at the same time so that the tendon sheath no longer squeezes the tendon, thereby achieving the purpose of radical cure. Tenosynovitis will recur after a period of recovery. In order to prevent the recurrence of tenosynovitis, attention should be paid to eliminating the causes of tenosynovitis, including moderately engaging in some activities that are likely to cause tenosynovitis, such as hand-knitting sweaters, female workers knotting wiring ends, etc.; changing some incorrect lifestyles, such as using the computer keyboard for too long or sending too many text messages, etc. Avoid prolonged contact with cold water. Regularly doing some hand exercises is also very helpful in preventing the recurrence of tenosynovitis. |
