Most of the causes of atrial fibrillation are caused by these!

Nowadays, more and more patients are suffering from atrial fibrillation, most of which occur in middle-aged and elderly people. There are many causes of atrial fibrillation, mainly increased abdominal pressure, rheumatic heart disease, hypertensive heart disease, and hyperthyroidism, which can all lead to atrial fibrillation. Patients usually need to undergo electrocardiogram examinations to find out the causes of the heart and find appropriate methods of treatment and response.

Diseases that can cause atrial fibrillation include:

(1). Rheumatic heart disease; (2). Hypertensive heart disease; (3). Hyperthyroidism; (4). Wolff-White syndrome; (5). Coronary heart disease; (6). Degenerative heart disease; (7). Idiopathic atrial fibrillation.

Because there are many causes of atrial fibrillation, we should not just treat it when we see it, otherwise the effect will be compromised. The atrial fibrillation caused by the above-mentioned causes has its own characteristics, which are briefly introduced as follows:

1. Rheumatic heart disease: There is a history of rheumatic heart disease and cardiac ultrasound shows valvular disease.

2. Hypertensive heart disease: history of hypertension, or frequent dizziness, and cardiac ultrasound shows enlarged atrial and thickened ventricular walls.

3. Hyperthyroidism: Symptoms include restlessness, irritability, sweating, trembling hands, loose stools, weight loss, palpitations, and changes in the five thyroid function tests, mainly increased T3 and T4, and decreased or increased TSH. A decrease in TSH indicates primary hyperthyroidism, while an increase in TSH indicates secondary hyperthyroidism.

4. Preexcitation syndrome: abnormal electrocardiogram manifestations.

5. Coronary heart disease: Symptoms such as chest tightness and chest pain occur during activities, and are more common in middle-aged and elderly people. Cardiac CTA and ECT showed signs of myocardial ischemia.

6. Degenerative heart disease: more common in the elderly, color Doppler ultrasound shows calcification of the heart structure.

7. Idiopathic atrial fibrillation: Atrial fibrillation of unknown cause may be related to the disorder of electrical activity in the atrium.

The principles of diagnosis and treatment of atrial fibrillation are:

1. Make a clear diagnosis

2. Treatment based on syndrome differentiation: adopt different treatment methods according to different causes.
