The clinical manifestations of large intestine heat are mainly abdominal pain, burning sensation in the anus, diarrhea or bloody stool, or dry and constipated stool, dry mouth and craving for water, small amount of yellow urine, red tongue and rapid pulse. The key point in syndrome differentiation of large intestine heat is to identify the deficiency or excess properties of the disease. ①Syndrome of excess heat in large intestine. The onset is usually acute, the course is short, and the condition is severe. Damp-heat diarrhea often occurs in summer and autumn, characterized by abdominal pain and diarrhea, feces that are rotten and foul-smelling, burning sensation in the anus, short and red urine, yellow and greasy tongue coating, and a slippery or slippery pulse; Summer diarrhea often occurs in midsummer, with thick or violent diarrhea, fever, sweating, thirst, short and red urine, red tongue, thin yellow tongue coating, and a slippery and rapid pulse; Dysentery: initially, there are symptoms such as fever and chills, followed by abdominal pain, red and white diarrhea, tenesmus, hot and astringent urine, burning sensation in the anus, red tongue with yellow or greasy coating, and a slippery, rapid and strong pulse. If the heat toxicity turns into fire, it may also cause coma, delirium and syncope. If it is constipation, there will be dry and hard stools, red face and hot body, lip sores and bad breath, short and red urine, fullness and pain in the abdomen, dry and yellow tongue coating, and a slippery and strong pulse. Intestinal heat causes blood in the stool, with blood in the stool first and then stool, the blood is bright red and thick, there is abdominal pain, constipation, red tongue, yellow or greasy coating, and rapid pulse. Intestinal abscess causes abdominal pain that is resistant to pressure, tightness in the abdominal skin, pain in a fixed area, fever, nausea and vomiting, hard or loose stools, yellow tongue coating, and a slippery and rapid pulse. ②Syndrome of deficiency-heat in large intestine. Constipation caused by intestinal dryness and fluid deficiency is common, with difficulty in defecation, abdominal pain that does not go away, or dry mouth, low fever, hot hands and feet, red tongue with little fluid, and a thin and rapid pulse, which are signs of yin deficiency and internal heat. |
