What are the causes of vitiligo

Vitiligo is a common and frequent disease that not only affects people's appearance, but also causes harm to the body. Therefore, people should pay full attention when they find that they have symptoms of vitiligo. The causes of vitiligo include industrial pollution, mental factors, snacks and beverages, agricultural pollution, endocrine and immune dysfunction, etc.

1. Industrial pollution causes vitiligo

The environmental pollution caused by industrial sewage is one of the reasons for the increase in incidence in recent years. Untreated waste gas and wastewater emitted from industrial production, as well as the exhaust gas emitted by the rapidly growing number of motor vehicles, contain many substances that are harmful to the human body. For example, sulfur dioxide, strong acids, strong alkalis, lead, arsenic, mercury, benzene, phenol and other chemical or heavy metal poisons can directly cause harm to the human body and cause vitiligo.

2. Mental factors cause vitiligo

Many patients suffer from long-term mental tension, excessive stress, insomnia and nightmares, which are closely related to the onset and severity of vitiligo.

3. Snacks and drinks can cause vitiligo

It has a significant impact on children's physical development and health. By inhibiting the activity of certain enzymes in the body, it can cause melanocyte synthesis disorders and may also directly damage melanocytes, leading to vitiligo.

4. Agricultural pollution causes vitiligo

Excessive use of chemical drugs on crops, such as pesticides, fungicides and ripening agents, and excessive feeding of growth hormones to meat poultry will result in residues in the body after slaughter, which will have adverse effects on human health.

5. Endocrine and immune dysfunction causes vitiligo

Certain pathogenic factors (chemical and heavy metal poisons) lead to immune dysfunction and endocrine imbalance in the body, producing anti-melanocyte antibodies, causing melanocyte damage and loss, leading to the onset of vitiligo.

6. Lack of trace elements causes vitiligo

Trace elements are active substances that participate in the intermediate links of the body's metabolism, such as copper, zinc, selenium, iodine, etc. They are directly involved in the synthesis of melanocytes and also protect melanocytes from damage by heavy metal poisons.

7. Genetic factors cause vitiligo

Clinical observation shows that only a few cases are related to genetics, but it does not affect the treatment of vitiligo.
