What are the symptoms of rheumatic autoimmunity

In life, we often see some people saying that they have pain here or there, and that they have rheumatoid arthritis, etc., which gives people the impression that rheumatic diseases are arthritis. In fact, the range of rheumatic immune diseases is very wide. For example, lupus erythematosus is a type of rheumatic disease. There are many types of rheumatic immune diseases, and the symptoms they show are also different. The symptoms of rheumatic immune diseases are as follows:

1. Fever

Fever of unknown cause: For patients with long-term fever that is not responsive to antibiotic or anti-tuberculosis treatment and who have ruled out tumors, the possibility of rheumatic autoimmune disease must be considered.

2. Pain

Joint swelling or pain: Most rheumatic autoimmune diseases present with joint symptoms, which may be mild or severe, of short or long duration, and may be accompanied by local redness and fever, or may simply manifest as pain. It may be migratory or fixed, or it may be paroxysmal. It is worth noting that if there is obvious swelling in the joints, you must see a doctor.

3. Muscle

Myalgia and weakness: This symptom may occur in diseases such as dermatomyositis, polymyositis, metabolic myopathy and tumor-induced myopathy.

4. System Damage

Multiple system or organ damage: Most diffuse connective tissue diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic vasculitis, systemic sclerosis, etc. can affect multiple organs or systems throughout the body.

5. Raynaud's phenomenon

Raynaud's phenomenon is when your hands or feet turn white when you're exposed to cold or your emotions change, turn red when you're warm or your emotions stabilize, and finally return to normal color. This phenomenon can occur in many diffuse connective tissue diseases such as mixed connective tissue disease, systemic sclerosis, systemic lupus erythematosus, etc.

6. Lower back pain and alternating hip pain

Many patients with ankylosing spondylitis, undifferentiated spondyloarthropathy, etc. may experience these symptoms, which are mainly manifested as waking up due to back pain at night, especially in the second half of the night, accompanied by morning stiffness. The symptoms can be improved after activity.
