What are the symptoms of Trichomonas urethritis?

Currently, Trichomonas urethritis is a common disease that affects both men and women. Due to the different body structures of men and women, the symptoms and treatments of Trichomonas urethritis are also different. No matter who has this disease, they must go to an active hospital for treatment under the guidance of a doctor. The following are the symptoms of trichomoniasis urethritis in men and women:

Symptoms of Trichomonas urethritis in men:

1. The incubation period of Trichomonas urethritis is usually 4-7 days. In severe cases, there will be itching and burning sensation on the vulva and inner thighs. If the urinary tract is infected at the same time, such as urethritis and cystitis, patients may have symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, pain, and hematuria. When retrograde infection leads to pyelonephritis, symptoms include chills, back pain, high fever, general malaise and gastrointestinal reactions. Physical examination revealed tenderness over the costovertebral angle and percussion pain. Symptoms and signs are the same as for a general bacterial urinary tract infection.

2. There is pain when urinating. There is a small amount of secretion from the urethra in the morning, which is serous and occasionally purulent.

Symptoms of Trichomonas urethritis in women:

1. Persistent vaginitis, increased vaginal discharge, serous or purulent, thinner, with small bubbles in the discharge, fishy odor, and yellow-green color. Pain during sexual intercourse.

2. Difficulty urinating and vulvar itching. In severe cases, there will be itching and burning sensation in the vagina, vulva and inner thighs. If the urinary tract is infected at the same time, such as urethritis and cystitis, patients may have symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, pain, and hematuria.

3. When retrograde infection leads to pyelonephritis, there will be chills, back pain, high fever, general discomfort and gastrointestinal reactions. Physical examination revealed tenderness over the costovertebral angle and percussion pain.
