How long does it take to get a dental implant?

Dental implants are a very good way to repair missing teeth. Dental implants mainly consist of two parts: the implant and the crown. Dental implants take a certain amount of time. Generally, the entire process takes about 3 to 5 months. Of course, the treatment time is related to individual differences. Because dental implants are a relatively advanced technology for repairing teeth, they require certain equipment and professional skills. Therefore, you must go to a regular hospital or dental clinic for this treatment.

1. Preoperative examination

First, preoperative examination and preoperative treatment are carried out, such as extracting particularly loose teeth and residual roots, filling teeth, treating periodontal disease, removing bad dentures, adjusting and correcting bad occlusion, etc. The time required for this stage varies depending on each person's treatment situation.

2. Implant surgery stage

Then, the implant surgery stage: when your doctor places the implant into the bone through surgery according to the preoperative design plan, the postoperative reaction is minimal. The time it takes to place an implant is approximately 20-40 minutes.

3. Install the crown after surgery

Finally, two to four months after the operation, after the implant has firmly integrated with the bone, the crown is installed. The dental crown is made of porcelain or all-ceramic materials, with excellent texture, realistic color, comfort, beauty and durability.

The entire dental implant process takes 3 to 5 months. The length of treatment time varies depending on each person's situation. If the patient is older, the treatment will generally be postponed. There will be different treatment plans and times for specific situations.

Dental implant is a "high-tech" oral restoration technology that requires very high technical and equipment conditions. People engaged in implant work should have systematic knowledge and proficient skills in all aspects of oral medicine. Therefore, you need to go to a professional and regular dentist to get dental implants.
