Herpes caused by decreased immunity, you need to know the dietary principles

Many herpes patients have very low immunity, and the treatment of this disease is also very complicated. While treating the disease, we must also actively improve immunity. We must start with our daily diet, avoid spicy and irritating foods, and eat more vegetables and fruits.

1. Be careful when eating sour and astringent foods

Sour and astringent foods include peas, water chestnuts, pomegranates, taro, spinach, etc. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that herpes zoster is mostly caused by emotional distress, liver qi stagnation, long-term stagnation turning into fire, and infection with toxic evil. Therefore, treatment should focus on promoting qi and blood circulation, replenishing blood and removing blood stasis. The sour, astringent and bitter foods mentioned above can easily cause blood circulation obstruction, retention of toxins and aggravate pain.

2. Avoid spicy and hot foods

Spicy and hot foods such as alcohol, tobacco, ginger, chili, mutton, beef and fried foods can easily increase fire and generate heat after consumption. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that shingles is caused by the accumulation of dampness, heat and fire toxins in the skin, so patients with shingles should avoid eating the above-mentioned spicy and hot foods.

3. Be careful when eating fatty and greasy foods

Fatty meat, maltose, milk and sweet foods are mostly greasy and fatty, which can easily cause the damp-heat toxins of the disease to accumulate inside the body and cause shingles to linger and not heal.

We have already introduced the dietary therapy for patients with shingles very clearly. Following the above dietary principles will have a multiplier effect on alleviating and curing the disease. I hope that every patient with shingles will receive correct treatment and recover soon, and avoid the disease causing too much harm to our patients.
