What causes suppuration in the nail?

The phenomenon of suppuration in the nails must not be ignored, because it may be caused by paronychia. Usually paronychia will cause symptoms of redness, swelling and suppuration, so we need to pay attention to regular nail trimming and cleanliness of the feet.

1. Now the living standards are getting higher and higher, and technology is becoming more and more advanced, but there is always one thing that bothers people, that is disease. No matter how developed and advanced the technology is, we can never escape the troubles of disease. We should also pay attention to minor illnesses in life and not underestimate them. When purulent paronychia is severe, the nails will fall off!

2. Purulent paronychia often occurs after local trauma, lacerations and bites. At the beginning, the nail groove is slightly red, swollen, painful and tender. It may disappear naturally or become purulent. In severe cases, it may develop into perionychia or subungual abscess, and the pain may worsen.

3. Redness and swelling around the nails are symptoms of paronychia: Paronychia is characterized by redness, swelling and pain on the affected side of the skin, and generally there are no symptoms of systemic infection. If the lesion progresses, pus will form in the lesion, there will be fluctuation in the red and swollen area, and white spots will appear, but it is not easy to rupture and discharge pus.

4. There are many reasons for ingrown toenails. The most common ones are wearing pointed leather shoes, high heels, tight shoes and socks, etc., which will squeeze and rub the toenails for a long time, causing the toenails to grow into the flesh. Frequent nail trimming may cause the nails to be cut too short, so that the nail bed in front will grow larger without the protection of the nails. The newly grown nails will also pierce into the flesh. Going to a pedicure shop for a pedicure can damage the nail bed and cause ingrown toenails.
