What are the symptoms of allergic cheilitis

I believe some friends are surprised to see diseases on the lips. In fact, the lips are a relatively sensitive part. If you don’t pay attention to them, it is easy to get cheilitis. Allergic cheilitis is a type of cheilitis with obvious symptoms and is easier to detect.

1. Chronic cheilitis is mainly manifested by dry lips, itching and burning pain, followed by dryness and desquamation, exudation of mucus, and formation of light yellow crusts, which recur repeatedly and do not heal for a long time.

2. The main symptoms are swelling and thickening of the lips, which recurs and cannot return to normal, feeling like a mattress. This is a chronic cheilitis of unknown cause. In addition, there is a rare allergic cheilitis, which may be related to certain foods, food additives, intestinal parasites, trauma, menstruation, certain types of lipsticks, and cosmetics. It is more common on the upper lip, with diffuse swelling, unclear boundaries, raised lip protrusions, tight and shiny, and flexible to the touch.

3. Also known as desquamative cheilitis. The symptoms include thickening and dryness of the lip mucosa, white chaff-like scales, dry and wrinkled red lips, congestion and swelling, repeated attacks, discoloration and lightening of the skin at the corners of the mouth, and grayish-white keratotic streaks.
