Dogs are the most loyal friends of human beings. Many people like to keep pets, especially dogs. People who have kept dogs know that pets need to be vaccinated regularly to prevent dogs from going crazy and biting people. On the other hand, it can also prevent dogs from getting some infectious diseases. Plague is a disease that dogs often suffer from. Generally, monoclonal antibodies and serum need to be injected. Can the two be vaccinated together? Can monoclonal antibodies and serum be used together? The two drugs can be injected together, but they cannot be mixed. Monoclonal antibodies temporarily increase the dog's resistance and prevent the virus from rapidly worsening. (To put it simply, it prevents the disease from getting worse, but the effect is not very great) The serum has a healing effect. Tibetan Mastiff Distemper Fever Prevention and Treatment Methods Canine distemper mainly harms puppies. The pathogen is canine distemper virus. The sick dogs are characterized by biphasic fever, rhinitis, severe gastrointestinal disorders and respiratory tract inflammation. Neurological symptoms often appear in the later stages of the disease. Various secretions and excretions (nasal juice, saliva, tears, pericardial fluid, pleural effusion, ascites and urine) of sick dogs, as well as blood, cerebrospinal fluid, lymph nodes, liver, spleen, spinal cord and other organs contain a large number of viruses, and can be excreted to the outside world through respiratory secretions and urine. Healthy dogs can be infected through the respiratory tract or digestive tract through direct contact with sick dogs or through contaminated air or food. In addition to puppies, foxes and minks among fur animals are also very susceptible to canine distemper. (1) Regular vaccination: The canine distemper vaccine currently produced in my country is a cell culture attenuated vaccine. In order to improve the immune effect, vaccination should be carried out according to the following immunization schedule. The first vaccination should be done when the puppies are 6 weeks old, the second vaccination should be done when they are 8 weeks old, and the third vaccination should be done when they are 10 weeks old. Thereafter, immunization should be done once a year, with each immunization dose being 2 ml, which can achieve a certain immune effect. Given that it takes a certain amount of time (7 to 10 days) for vaccination to produce a good immune effect, and canine distemper is currently quite common, some dogs have been infected with the canine distemper virus before vaccination but have not shown clinical symptoms. When under the influence of certain stress factors (changes in living conditions, long-distance transportation, etc.), they can still be stimulated to show clinical symptoms and become ill. This is one of the important reasons why some dogs still develop canine distemper and other diseases after vaccination. In order to improve the immune effect and reduce the infection rate, when purchasing puppies, it is best to first vaccinate the puppies with 4-5 ml of canine pentavalent high immune serum, then inject once after 1 week, and then vaccinate them with canine pentavalent vaccine according to the above immunization schedule after 2 weeks. This is both safe and reliable and can reduce the incidence rate. (2) Strengthen veterinary and epidemic prevention measures. Each farm should try its best to breed and raise its own livestock. During the epidemic season of this disease, it is strictly forbidden to bring dogs from outside the venue into the venue. (3) Timely isolation and treatment Timely detection of sick dogs, early isolation and treatment, and prevention of secondary infection are the keys to improving cure rates and reducing mortality rates. In the early stages of the disease, anti-canine distemper high-immune serum (or canine pentavalent high-immune serum) or serum from dogs that have recovered from the disease (or whole blood) can be injected intramuscularly or subcutaneously. The dosage of serum should be determined according to the condition of the dog and the size of the dog. Usually 5 to 10 ml is used per time and used continuously for 3 to 5 days to achieve a certain therapeutic effect. It has been reported that the use of anti-drug lyophilized powder injection in combination with treatment with high-immune serum can improve the treatment effect. Its usage and dosage are as follows: before treatment, dissolve the anti-drug in 20 ml of sterile saline or water for injection, and drip 2 to 4 bottles intravenously into medium-sized dogs. For younger dogs, the dosage can be reduced as appropriate. According to recent reports, the use of Canine Disease Kang injection in the early stages of the disease has a good therapeutic effect, especially when used together with high immune serum, its efficacy is better than using it alone. The usage and dosage of Canbingkang is 0.1-0.3 ml/kg body weight, intramuscular injection, 1-2 times/day. The dosage can be increased as appropriate in severe cases. In addition, the early use of antibiotics (such as penicillin, streptomycin, etc.) and symptomatic treatment are important for preventing secondary bacterial infections and the recovery of sick dogs. |
