3. Leg kick: Lie on your back, bend your hip and knee joints as much as possible, and curl your feet (dorsiflexion). Then push your heel upward diagonally (about 45 degrees), tighten the muscles of your calves and thighs, and lower your leg to the original position. Alternate legs twenty to sixty times.

4. Bend down and stretch backward: Stand with your legs about shoulder-width apart and your toes pointing inward. Bend forward elastically so that your hands touch the ground. Then reposition and stretch your waist backwards, also stretching it elastically to the maximum extent. Repeat five to ten times. When the condition improves, increase the range of motion and proceed step by step.

2. Angelica and Ginger Lamb Soup

Recipe: 30g each of angelica and ginger, cut into large slices, 500g of mutton, blanch in boiling water, let cool, cut into pieces, 10 red dates.

Method: Put mutton, angelica, ginger and 10 red dates into a casserole, add appropriate amount of water and boil together, skim off the foam after boiling, then simmer on low heat until the mutton is cooked. Drink the soup and eat the meat as desired, one dose every other day.

Efficacy: Warming the meridians and dispelling cold, promoting blood circulation and relieving pain. It is mainly used to treat lumbar disc herniation caused by internal excess of yin and cold, and stagnation of qi and blood.

3. Sesame porridge

Recipe: 15 grams of sesame seeds, 100 grams of rice.

Method: Wash the sesame seeds with water, fry them until they turn yellow, grind them into a paste, and add rice to cook porridge. Take 1 dose daily with breakfast.

Efficacy: It can relieve lumbar disc herniation.

4. Stewed Pig’s Tail with Chiton

Recipe: 50 grams of Cnidium monnieri, 30 grams of Cibotium barometz, 1 pig tail, and 2 slices of ginger.

Method: Boil 5 bowls of water until 1 bowl is left, drink the soup and eat the pig tail.
