How to treat high mean corpuscular hemoglobin content

How to treat high mean corpuscular hemoglobin content

A high mean corpuscular hemoglobin content is the conclusion shown on the test report of many people during blood tests, which makes people very panic, because any failure in any test indicator will have more or less impact on the health of the body. So how can people with high mean corpuscular hemoglobin levels be adjusted to restore them to normal values? This is what patients want to know most. In fact, the treatment of high mean corpuscular hemoglobin content is divided into the following two aspects.

1. Relative increase: Due to certain reasons, water in plasma is lost, the blood is concentrated, and the content of red blood cells and hemoglobin increases relatively. Such as continuous severe vomiting, large-area burns, severe diarrhea, heavy sweating, etc.; also seen in chronic adrenal insufficiency, diabetes insipidus, hyperthyroidism, etc.

2. Absolute increase: The absolute value of red blood cells and hemoglobin in the blood increases due to various reasons, which is mostly related to the body's circulation and tissue hypoxia, increased levels of erythropoietin in the blood, and accelerated release of red blood cells by the bone marrow.

(1) Physiological increase: seen in plateau residents, fetuses and newborns, strenuous labor, fear, cold water bath, etc.

(2) Pathological increase: It is caused by compensatory increase in erythropoietin and is seen in severe congenital and acquired cardiopulmonary diseases and vascular malformations, such as tetralogy of Fallot, cyanotic congenital heart disease, obstructive pulmonary emphysema, cor pulmonale, pulmonary arteriovenous fistula, and abnormal hemoglobin disease with low oxygen-carrying capacity.

In other cases, the patient does not have tissue hypoxia, the increase in erythropoietin is not needed by the body, and the increase in red blood cells and hemoglobin has no compensatory significance. It is seen in certain tumors or kidney diseases, such as renal cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, nephroembryoma, hydronephrosis, polycystic kidney, etc. Pay attention to whether it is caused by hypoxia in high altitude areas. In addition, smoking, chronic bronchitis, and heart disease may all cause this symptom. Check it out first. First of all, I suggest you take a lung X-ray and a heart ultrasound. Of course, if you don't have other abnormalities, just observe for the time being and don't treat it for the time being. Don't worry. High platelets can be caused by many situations. Normal people with physiological conditions generally have a 6%-10% change in a day. They are lower in the morning, slightly higher in the afternoon, lower in spring, slightly higher in winter, higher in plateau areas, and higher after menstruation and exercise. Pathological myeloproliferative diseases, primary thrombocythemia, acute hemolysis, acute suppurative infection, you should observe carefully first, and then check again after a while. If it is still high, you need to find out the cause. Suggestions: When the blood is damaged and bleeding, there are many mechanisms for hemostasis and coagulation effects, but most of them are related to the role of platelets. Too much is not a problem. If it is too high, drink more water at ordinary times.

The above is about the problem of high average hemoglobin concentration in red blood cells. I hope it will be helpful to everyone. We have many medical problems that require us to go to the hospital for examination. Then we should have a good examination and treatment. Timely examination. Your diet and daily habits have a great impact on your body. Just pay attention to your physical health.
