Herpes is a disease that can be transmitted through contact and can cause many complications, such as nausea, vomiting, coma, prostatitis, etc. There are many types of herpes, including herpes zoster, herpes simplex, genital herpes, etc., which require proper treatment and care. 1. Herpes zoster is an acute inflammatory skin disease caused by the herpes zoster virus. It can occur in any part of the body, but is most common in the lower back. Shingles is caused by a filterable virus, trauma, syphilis, spinal cord disease, and arsenic poisoning. When shingles first occurs, the affected area often feels itchy, burning or painful, and is sometimes accompanied by early symptoms such as general discomfort, fever, and loss of appetite. The herpes zoster virus often manifests as chickenpox after the initial primary infection. Herpes zoster usually occurs in children after a second or secondary infection with the virus. When chickenpox occurs, a knife-like pain (neuralgia) will occur, and a blister-like rash will be caused on the skin of the pathogenic nerves. New rashes continue to appear, and old and new rash groups are distributed along the course of the nerves, arranged in a band-like shape. The skin between the rash groups is normal. Herpes zoster affects the facial nerves, and the patient will develop facial paralysis. If it affects the eyes, the cornea will be damaged. 2. Genital herpes mostly occurs at the junction of the skin and mucous membrane. First, the local skin becomes slightly red, and then groups of small water scars the size of a needle tip appear, with a mild itchy and burning sensation. After a few days, they dry up and form brown scabs. After the scabs fall off, there is slight pigmentation, but it disappears quickly. The entire course of the disease lasts an average of one week, but recurrences are common. 3. Symptoms of herpes simplex Herpes simplex, also called fever blisters, is a painful infection caused by the herpes simplex virus that can appear anywhere on the body but most commonly appears on the gums, outside of the mouth, outside of the tongue, nose, cheeks, or fingers. After the blisters are formed, they break and produce exudate, followed by a yellow-white scab that eventually falls off. New skin develops beneath the scab. Ulcers usually last 7 to 10 days. Symptoms: Herpes simplex is a common stomatitis in children. At the onset, the local area is first congested, and then small round blisters occur. After rupture, they become superficial ulcers containing trace amounts of fibrous exudate. |
