What to eat for drug-induced hepatitis, these 6 nutrients are indispensable

Drug-induced hepatitis is liver damage caused by long-term medication. Drug-induced liver disease can occur in healthy people or in people with diseases who need to take medication for a long time. It can cause damage to the liver when taking some medications. This is often caused by people not paying enough attention when taking medicine. Today I will introduce to you the nutrients that people with drug-induced hepatitis need to supplement.

1. Calories: The daily calorie intake of adults should be 30-35 kilocalories per kilogram of body weight. For an adult weighing 70 kilograms, the calorie intake is about 2100-2450 kcal. A high-calorie diet can easily lead to obesity, and the deposited lipids in the liver can easily form fatty liver, so a high-calorie diet is not advisable.

2. Protein: Hepatitis patients are prone to nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and changes in taste and sensation, which reduce their food intake and protein intake, easily leading to protein deficiency. At this time, you should pay attention to the amount of protein, which can help the liver repair damaged tissues, so the recommended daily protein amount should reach 1-1.5 grams per kilogram of body weight, of which 2/3 should come from protein foods with high biological value, such as meat, fish eggs, milk, and plant foods such as beans. Although they contain protein, they do not contain all the "essential ammonium acids" needed by the human body, and their absorption efficiency is not as good as animal protein.

3. Carbohydrates: If there is enough carbohydrate in the diet as a source of calories, the chance of protein in the diet being used as a source of calories can be reduced, so that these proteins can be used as raw materials for repairing liver tissue. The daily intake should be 300-400 grams, which is about 5 bowls of rice. It should not be too much, so as not to affect the normal function of liver cells. 4. Lipids: The intake is 100-150 grams. After liver function returns to normal, the fat intake should not exceed 100 grams. There is no need to restrict fat excessively, because restricting fat will make food tasteless and will also affect the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins. 5. Vitamins and minerals: Food sources are best. Adequate supply to help the liver fight stress and repair damage. 6. Eating small meals frequently and liquid and semi-liquid concentrated foods are more suitable for hepatitis patients. Fried foods should be avoided as much as possible. Try to use fresh and clean food for cooking, and cooked food is preferred.
