What is the reason for pale complexion

In life, we will find that many people have pale complexions for a long time. We should pay attention to this situation, because the normal complexion of a person is white with a rosy glow. If the skin is always pale, it may be affected by some diseases such as cold deficiency or anemia.

1. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that: "What happens inside will inevitably manifest itself outside." Pathological changes in the body will inevitably be reflected on the body surface, and the complexion is one of such surface reflections.

2. The complexion of a normal person in my country is slightly yellow, slightly rosy and slightly shiny, which is called "normal color" in traditional Chinese medicine. When one is sick, the color of his face changes, which is called "sickness color".

3. The complexion of a healthy person is white with a rosy glow. People who often stay at home also have white skin. But the skin of a pathologically white person is as white as wax. For example, in clinical practice, we often see that patients with deficiency-cold symptoms, anemia, and certain lung diseases have severe abdominal pain due to internal cold, or severe aversion to cold and shivering due to external cold, and have pale complexion. People with mitral valve regurgitation due to heart disease may also show signs of paleness on their face. Liver disease that appears white is a difficult disease to treat.

4. White appears between the eyebrows, which indicates lung disease. The complexion of patients with hypothyroidism, chronic nephritis, etc. is paler than that of normal people. When suffering from lead poisoning, the main symptom of the patient is a pale complexion, which is medically known as "lead appearance". This color is also seen in patients with parasitic diseases, leukemia, etc., those who work indoors for a long time and those who are malnourished. Intestinal parasitic disease, white spots or white spots can be seen on the face. In addition, bleeding diseases, frequent hemorrhoidal bleeding, and excessive menstruation in women can also cause pale complexion.

5. Shock patients may also turn pale due to obstructed blood circulation in the face. According to traditional Chinese medicine, pale complexion is a symptom of deficiency and cold. For example, some people have pale complexions and are obese. Chinese medicine calls these people as having qi deficiency or yang deficiency. Although these people are fat, they have poor physical constitution and are prone to catching colds. A grayish and purple complexion and a dull expression are the features of a critically ill person in the late stages of heart disease. If the gray color becomes more serious, it is a characteristic of mitral valve stenosis, a rheumatic heart disease.
