3. Acute otitis media is an acute suppurative inflammation of the middle ear mucosa, which is infected through the Eustachian tube. The simple type is mainly treated with local medication, and antibiotic aqueous solution or a mixture of antibiotics and steroid hormones, such as 0.25% chloramphenicol solution, chloramphenicol cortisone solution, ofloxacin ear drops, etc., can be used to treat otitis media and otitis externa.
