What should you pay attention to after removing a mole? Scientific care will not leave scars

Many people feel that they have too many moles on their faces or that they are in the wrong position, so they go for mole removal. There are many ways to remove moles, but no matter which method is used, you must take good care of the moles after removal, keep them dry, pay attention to your diet, do not eat spicy food, and do not scratch them at will.

1. Post-event attention

1. Keep the treated area as dry as possible for one week after removing moles or spots. Dry it gently with a clean towel as soon as possible after washing or contact with water.

2. After treating moles and spots, the treated area should be kept away from sunlight to prevent sunburn and pigmentation. Especially within 20 days after the scabs fall off, special attention should be paid to sun protection.

3. Pay attention to your diet and try to eat less sour and spicy foods, seafood, beef, mutton and other foods. Eat more foods containing vitamin C. You can also supplement vitamin C and vitamin E and take them according to the instructions.

4. Please do not scratch at will to avoid infection, which may lead to scars or pigmentation.

5. After mole removal treatment, a black scab will generally form on the applied area within 1-2 days, and the scab will fall off automatically in about 1-2 weeks. After the scab falls off, it is best if the skin where the scab falls off is white. If it is fresh red skin, the color will sometimes darken due to excessive sunlight exposure, and it will recover after a few months.

2. Laser mole removal

1) Laser mole removal treatment may make the pigment disappear or lighten once or multiple times.

2) Laser mole removal treatment is performed superficially and generally no scars will appear.

3) Pigmentation changes may occur in the short term after laser mole removal treatment, but will disappear after a few months.

4) In principle, scrubbing is not recommended within two weeks of treatment.

5) Treatment of small areas will only cause slight swelling locally. When treating a large area, especially around the eyes, there will be obvious swelling, which will disappear on its own after three to five days of laser mole removal.

6) There may be mild redness and swelling, and light brown scabs after laser treatment. Attention should be paid to wound protection and cleaning. Some lubricating drugs may be used. Laser mole removal is prohibited during early scab removal, and the scabs should be allowed to fall off on their own.
