Will amblyopia lead to blindness?

Will amblyopia lead to blindness?

Amblyopia is a problem that we cannot ignore, because it has a great impact on vision health and is also detrimental to work and life, because it will seriously affect vision. Therefore, we must pay attention to protecting our eyesight, controlling vision loss and various eye diseases.

1. Treatment through medical devices and drugs

We must know that amblyopia and myopia are not the same disease at all. Myopia is an eye disease that causes us to see clearly at close range but not at distant places due to long-term improper use of our eyes. The vision can usually be restored to normal after wearing glasses to correct it. Amblyopia is a condition in which the visual function is defective and the vision is very high. Amblyopia is a disease that cannot be corrected to normal vision even by wearing glasses, so it must be treated with medical equipment and drugs.

2. Pay attention to your eyes and control vision loss

The two diseases we are talking about are fundamentally different. Amblyopia is much more harmful than myopia. Because myopia is simply a decrease in vision when looking far away, you can only see nearby objects clearly. Amblyopic patients not only have low vision, but may also develop many lesions, such as macular degeneration, cataracts and other serious eye diseases. In severe cases, it may cause blindness. Compared with myopia, as long as we pay attention to the use of our eyes, control the loss of vision and have regular checks, it will not lead to blindness.

3. Prevent eye diseases

For myopia, we can restore normal vision by wearing glasses. It does not cause much damage to the eyes and generally does not lead to complications of multiple eye diseases. The harm of amblyopia is much greater. We can generally also use some methods to inhibit eye diseases. For example, we can consciously observe small objects. Normally, feel the stimulation of natural sunlight on your eyes.
