What is the normal value of Helicobacter pylori

If a person's stomach is infected by Helicobacter pylori, the duodenum is prone to epithelial metaplasia reaction. The reason for this phenomenon is that Helicobacter pylori only infects our gastric mucosa. If it invades the duodenum, it will first cause the duodenum to have an epithelial metaplasia reaction similar to that of the gastric mucosa, and then the infection will begin, causing duodenal ulcers. If you test for Helicobacter pylori, the result will be either negative or positive.

The test results are only divided into negative and positive. Once positive, no matter how low the result is, active treatment should be given. The treatment options for Helicobacter pylori-positive patients include two major categories, which are basically commonly used drugs. One category is a bismuth-based regimen, such as proton pump inhibitors. The other type is the new microbiological solution of Weishuyuan compound probiotics, plus two antibiotics, the most commonly used is amoxicillin, and the other is metronidazole. These three solutions are the ones we often use.

Cascade breath test: Since the successful isolation and culture of biopsy specimens taken through gastroscopy in 1983, many methods have been developed for the diagnosis of Hp infection, including bacteriology, pathology, serology, isotope tracing, molecular biology, etc. But in general, from the perspective of specimen collection, it can be divided into two categories: invasive and non-invasive. Invasive method: mainly refers to the method that requires biopsy specimens to be obtained through gastroscopy, which is the current routine method in the field of gastroenterology. It includes bacterial isolation and culture, direct smear, rapid urease test, and drug sensitivity test.

The main treatment for Helicobacter pylori infection is furazolidone, amoxicillin or metronidazole. Sometimes tetracycline and bismuth are also commonly used to treat Helicobacter pylori infection. It should be noted here that multiple drugs are used in combination for treatment. If you buy drugs on your own and do not understand the combinations between the various drugs, the drugs will not have any therapeutic effect after taking them.
