How to wash off oil stains

Children are very naughty by nature, and eating with them is the most troublesome thing for parents. If you are not careful, oil stains will be directly on the clothes. This makes many mothers very troubled when washing clothes. They have no idea how to clean such difficult-to-clean oil stains. Oil stains are easy to dry and penetrate into the fibers of clothes, making them more difficult to clean. So how should we wash away oil stains?

1. Butter Stains

Butter is a viscous animal fat and can be scrubbed with toluene or carbon tetrachloride solvent. The traces left can be removed with a mixture of alcohol and ammonia water, or with alcohol soap.

2. Machine oil stains

1. For lighter colored machine oil stains, you can use gasoline to scrub them, and then place a piece of blotting paper or cloth above and below the oily stain on the clothes and iron it with an iron to make the oil evaporate further and be absorbed by the paper or cloth. Repeat this process of changing the paper or cloth and ironing multiple times until all the oil stains are absorbed. Finally, wash with detergent and rinse with clean water. For dark-colored machine oil stains, they must be rinsed with high-quality gasoline, then ironed with blotting paper or cloth to absorb, and finally rinsed with warm water.

2. Chalk method to remove engine oil stains: When clothes are stained with engine oil, you should immediately apply chalk powder on them, brush them off with a brush after a while, then mix laundry detergent into water in a ratio of 1:10, soak and rub the clothes, and the engine oil stains can be completely removed. Silk cloth should be replaced with prickly heat powder.

3. Sawdust method to remove oil stains: If clothes are stained with machine oil, you can mix sawdust with detergent, rub it repeatedly, and then rinse it with clean water.

3. Animal and plant oil stains

1. Animal and plant oil stains are common stains on clothing and are also a type of polar liquid stain. This type of stain should be removed by wiping or brushing with organic solvents such as solvent gasoline, tetrachloroethylene, etc. When scrubbing, use a towel or cotton cloth to absorb the stain solution wiped off in time to remove it from the surface of the clothes. Prevent some stains from remaining on the surface of clothes after the solution evaporates, which will leave marks on the surface of clothes. If marks appear, they can be removed by repeated wiping or brushing over a larger area. You can also apply water to the stained area of the clothes and spray it off with a high-pressure spray gun.

2. When clothes are contaminated by animal and plant oils, squeeze some toothpaste on the stains, rub them gently several times, and then scrub them with clean water to remove the oil stains.

3. If a fur coat is stained with oil, sprinkle some raw flour on the stain and then use a brown brush to rub along the fur until the stain is removed. Then, use a rattan stick or something similar to beat the wool surface to remove excess powder and make the wool fluffy and clean.

This article tells you in detail how to clean oil stains. Basically, oil stains are washed by hand, because in this way you can clean the oil stains in a targeted manner, and you can sprinkle raw flour appropriately when cleaning, which will make it easier to clean.
