How to wash oil stains on clothes

Now that the weather is getting cooler in autumn, people are starting to wear long sleeves, and some people are even putting on thick coats. No matter you are wearing long sleeves or a coat, due to the increased contact area, it is easy for the stains to get on your clothes accidentally. If they are very valuable clothes, it will definitely be a pity, and how to clean them becomes a headache. Here is a simple method for cleaning grease.

Mix a little toothpaste with laundry detergent and rub the mixture on the grease stains on clothes to remove the grease stains. Take a little flour, mix it into a paste, apply it to the front and back of the oil stains on clothes, dry it in the sun, peel off the paste, and the oil stains will be removed. For other oil stains, such as tung oil stains, first soften them with gasoline, then scrub them with tofu dregs to remove them completely. Mechanical oil stains can be scrubbed with gasoline. At the same time, place blotting paper (a filter towel can also be used) inside and outside the clothes, and then iron them with an iron until all the oil stains are absorbed. Finally, wash with detergent and rinse with clean water. For ballpoint pen stains, first soak them with 40℃ warm water, then rub them with benzene or wipe them with cotton dipped in benzene, then wash them with detergent and rinse them with clean water. Oil stains on leather shoes should be wiped off with gasoline, turpentine or alcohol.

Tung oil is a viscous vegetable oil that does not dry easily and is difficult to remove once it sticks to clothing. You can use gasoline or kerosene to scrub it, so that the tung oil will dissolve and be removed, and then use alcohol soap to remove the traces left behind. It is best to wash the clothes again with detergent after removing the stains to completely remove the traces.

In fact, the methods introduced above are all little tips in life. With the continuous development of technology, ordinary laundry detergents already have very strong decontamination effects, especially some detergents, which are more ideal for cleaning oil stains. So if you accidentally get oil stains on your clothes, you can directly apply detergent, then leave the clothes for about 5 minutes, and finally rub them directly to clean them. The effect is very good.
