How many deciduous teeth does a person have?

When we are young, we all grow deciduous teeth. Deciduous teeth are the early stage of our teeth. When tooth decay occurs, we must take good dental care measures to avoid damage to the deciduous teeth. It can effectively promote the continuous growth and consolidation of teeth, and can effectively improve the strength and toughness of tooth enamel. We are all particularly curious about the number of deciduous teeth, so how many deciduous teeth are there?

Generally speaking, children need to replace 20 sets of deciduous teeth. Usually, all 20 deciduous teeth grow when the child is two and a half years old. All 20 teeth will be replaced! The eruption of deciduous teeth follows such a physiological law: eruption at a certain time, growth in a certain order, and symmetrical development of left and right teeth.

The mandibular teeth of the deciduous teeth erupt earlier than the maxillary teeth, and they erupt in pairs, that is, the deciduous teeth with the same name on the left and right sides grow at the same time. The baby's first four lower incisors (lower front teeth) will erupt, followed by the four upper incisors; most of them will have four upper incisors and four lower incisors by the age of one; then, the four upper and lower first deciduous molars (commonly known as molars) will grow out, and their position is slightly away from the front incisors, leaving growth space for the deciduous canines (tiger teeth) that are about to grow out. After a slight pause, four fangs "emerged" from the gap left behind. Usually, a baby will have 14-16 deciduous teeth when he is 1 and a half years old, and the last 4 deciduous teeth to erupt are the second deciduous molars.

They are located immediately behind the first primary molars. When the baby is 2-2.5 years old, all 20 deciduous teeth will have come out, with 10 in the upper and lower jaws.

Knowing the number of deciduous teeth a person has, we must pay attention to it in our future lives, brush our teeth every morning and evening, and keep our teeth healthy. After the child is three weeks old, we should help and teach him to brush his teeth so that he can protect his teeth.
