What are the methods for liver examination

The liver can be said to be one of the most important organs in the human body. Now with the development of science and advancement of medical technology, more and more people are taking the initiative to undergo physical examinations or check their livers on their own. However, I believe that many friends still do not know what methods are available for liver examination and how to conduct a liver examination. Let us now look at the liver examination methods.

.Posture 1. Supine position: the most commonly used position. 2. Lying on the left side: This position is also commonly used. 3. Right lateral decubitus position: sometimes used. 4. Sitting or semi-sitting position: It can be used when necessary. In this position, the liver is moved downward. II. Exploration methods 1. Scan various sections at the right intercostal space, below the costal margin, and below the xiphoid process, including oblique, transverse or longitudinal sections, to obtain various section images of various parts of the liver.

2. Notes on scanning technique (1) When scanning the intercostal space, the probe should be swung in the scanning direction within the same intercostal space to obtain a series of cross-sectional images in different directions. (2) For the part of the right diaphragm top that is easily blocked by lung qi, scanning from under the rib margin should be performed. During the scanning, the sound beam should be directed from bottom to top, from the lower edge of the liver to the top of the diaphragm.

3. Liver vascular blood flow detection method (1) Portal vein blood flow: Sampling is performed under the guidance of two-dimensional image display lumen or color Doppler, blood flow spectrum is obtained, and maximum blood flow velocity (Vmax), mean blood flow velocity (Vmean), and blood flow are measured and calculated. The most commonly used measurement points are the main portal vein, the sagittal portion of the left portal vein, or the right portal vein. (2) Hepatic artery blood flow: Sampling is performed under the guidance of two-dimensional imaging or color Doppler to obtain the blood flow spectrum, measure and calculate the maximum blood flow velocity (Vmax), mean blood flow velocity (Vmean), blood flow, and resistance index (RI). The length measurement sites are the common hepatic artery and the proper hepatic artery. (3) Hepatic venous blood flow: Samples are taken from the hepatic vein on the cut surface, and the measurement is the same as that of the portal vein. The blood flow in the above vessels can be observed by color Doppler or spectrum above or below the baseline, and the spectral characteristics should be noted.

The above is the content presented to you today and related knowledge on liver examination methods. I hope that everyone can pay attention to their health in their spare time. Friends who have the conditions can also check their livers by themselves to achieve early prevention and early treatment. Once any abnormality is found, do not delay and go to a regular hospital for examination and treatment.
