What are the clinical manifestations of gout?

Nowadays, people like to eat meat, seafood and other foods that contain a lot of purine. With the change of dietary structure, the patients suffering from ventilation disease are also getting younger. The gender ratio of arthritis disease patients is not one to one. The male to female ratio is twenty to one, and female patients are in the minority. This is mainly because the estrogen that female friends can secrete can inhibit the onset of arthritis. So, what are the clinical manifestations of gout?

1. Asymptomatic stage. This stage only manifests as hyperuricemia, and the incidence of hyperuricemia is much higher than that of gout.

2. Interval period, which is the interval between two pain attacks. Symptoms of gout during the intermittent period. The main manifestation of gout symptoms in this stage is high blood uric acid concentration. The so-called intermittent period refers to the interval between two attacks of gout, and the time interval is about one month. If uric acid-lowering methods are not used, attacks will become more frequent, the pain will become more severe, and the course of the disease will be prolonged. During the intermittent period, it is difficult to make a diagnosis based solely on medical history and hyperuricemia rash, but extracting fluid from the metatarsophalangeal joints can help with the diagnosis if urate crystals are found.

3. Acute phase: mainly manifested as acute arthritis. The affected area will become red, swollen, painful, hot and accompanied by fever. Most patients with acute gouty arthritis have no obvious signs before an attack or only experience fatigue, general malaise and tingling in joints. Typical attacks often begin with awakening from the night due to joint pain. The pain progressively intensifies, reaching a peak in about 12 hours and feeling tearing, cutting or biting, which is unbearable. The affected joints and surrounding tissues are red, swollen, hot, painful and have limited function. During an acute attack of gout, symptoms usually occur in the second half of the night. The symptoms of gout at this stage include pain, swelling, and redness in the ankle joints or toes, arms, and finger joints, accompanied by severe pain.

4. Chronic stage. The main manifestations of the chronic stage are tophi, chronic arthritis, urinary stones and gouty nephritis. The symptoms of gout in the chronic stage are mainly manifested by the presence of tophi, chronic arthritis, uric acid stones, gouty nephritis and complications. At this time, gout attacks frequently, tophi begin to appear in various parts of the body, and the tophi gradually grow larger over time.

Obesity can also cause gout, and people with good dietary conditions are more likely to suffer from this disease. High serum uric acid levels in obese people can lead to gout. Blood uric acid levels can decrease after obese people lose weight. Therefore, pay attention to controlling your weight.

Patients with venereal disease should eat less hot pot, as it will greatly aggravate their condition. You are also not allowed to drink tea, eat seafood, or eat spicy food. You need to drink a lot of water every day, on average once an hour. You cannot eat too much salt, don't overwork yourself, and make sure the shoes you wear fit your feet. Comfort is the most important thing. Keep a calm mind.
