Acupuncture blood therapy is a method of treating physical diseases in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It treats internal diseases by bleeding through acupuncture. It can also effectively prevent physical diseases and is very beneficial to the body. Generally, acupuncture blood therapy can effectively remove the coldness from the body, and can also effectively balance the body's qi and blood. By inserting the needle into the acupuncture points of the human body, different acupuncture points can prevent and treat some physical diseases. At the same time, appropriate bloodletting can also achieve the effect of detoxification. Generally, it is better for the needle to enter the body at 0.1 or 0.2 in size. If the condition is serious, the needle can be inserted deeper. Pricking The needles can be triangular needles or thick filiform needles. There are three common forms of acupuncture. 1. Direct acupuncture method. First, knead and press the acupuncture site to make the local area congested. Then hold the needle with your right hand, pinch the needle handle with your thumb and index finger, and place the middle finger tip close to the lower end of the needle body, leaving 0.1 to 0.2 inches of the needle tip, and quickly insert the needle into the disinfected area. Remove the needle immediately after insertion, gently squeeze the area around the needle hole to cause a few drops of blood, and then press the needle hole with a sterilized cotton ball. This method is suitable for peripheral areas. Such as bloodletting at the twelve Jing points, the ten Xuan points and the ear tip points. 2. Holding and pricking method. This method is to pinch the skin and muscles of the acupuncture point with the thumb and index finger of the left hand, and then hold the needle with the right hand and insert it 0.5 to 0.1 inch deep. After removing the needle, pinch the area to make it bleed. It is often used for bloodletting at acupoints such as Zanzhu, Shangxing and Yinchang. 3. Ligation and pricking method. In this method, first tie the upper end of the needled area with an elastic band. After local disinfection, press the left thumb on the lower end of the needled area and puncture the vein at the puncture site with the right hand. Withdraw the needle immediately to allow a small amount of blood to flow out. After the bleeding stops, loosen the tape and press the needle hole with a sterilized cotton ball. 1. Indications Acupuncture has a wide range of indications and can be applied in various departments such as internal medicine, surgery, gynecology and pediatrics. Acupuncture is performed on corresponding acupoints according to different symptoms. It can be regarded as the first choice treatment for painful symptoms, dysfunctional diseases and certain acute diseases. 2. Contraindications Acupuncture is prohibited when the patient is extremely hungry, tired, drunk or mentally stressed. Pregnant women are prohibited from acupuncture at the lower abdomen, lumbar sacral region, perineum, Hegu and Sanyinjiao points Acupuncture is prohibited during menstruation, and should be used with caution even for regulating menstruation. Acupuncture is prohibited for those with bleeding tendency, severe allergic or infectious skin diseases. Acupuncture is prohibited for those with skin ulcers, scars or tumors. Acupuncture is prohibited on the top of the child's head when the fontanelle is not closed. Is it forbidden to acupuncture acupoints such as Ruzhong and Shenque? 3. Notes Before acupuncture treatment, you should do a good job of ideological work and eliminate fear. The needles used should be strictly sterilized, and disposable needles can also be used. For patients with weak bodies, acupuncture techniques should not be too strong, and patients should be placed in a supine position as much as possible. It is not advisable to use straight or deep needles in areas where important organs are located, such as the ribs, chest, back, and kidney area. When needling in areas where large blood vessels run, avoid using oblique needles to avoid the blood vessels. For patients who are prone to needle sickness, appropriate preparation measures should be taken in advance. People who have just participated in heavy physical labor or strenuous exercise should be allowed to rest for a while before acupuncture. When needling the acupoints in the eye area, Fengfu, Yamen and other acupoints on the neck, and acupoints on the back, you must pay attention to the angle and the range of motion should not be too large. When acupuncture is performed on the abdomen of patients with urinary retention, attention should be paid to the direction, angle and depth of acupuncture to avoid injuring the bladder. 4. Treatment of acupuncture accidents Needle phobia: It is usually caused by the patient's temporary tension, physical weakness, fatigue, hunger, sweating, diarrhea, heavy blood loss, or uncomfortable body position, excessive manipulation. Acupuncture should be stopped immediately, all inserted needles should be removed, and the patient should be placed in a supine position with the head slightly lowered, the belt loosened, and the patient should be kept warm. Warm sugar water or hot tea should be given, and the patient will recover after drinking. Other emergency measures can be taken if necessary. Needle stagnation: It means that the doctor feels that the needle is stagnant, twisting, lifting, inserting and removing the needle are difficult. This is mostly caused by the patient's nervousness or the doctor twisting the needle at too large an angle, using too much force, uneven force, or twisting in one direction. It can also be caused by the patient moving his body position when the needle is left in. Do not twist or insert the needle forcibly. You can extend the needle retention time, press or flick the needle handle near the acupoint where the needle is stuck, or insert another needle nearby to disperse qi and blood and relieve muscle tension. You can twist the needle back in the opposite direction. Broken needle: If the needle is broken due to poor quality of needles or other reasons, the patient should be advised not to move it. If one end is still exposed outside the skin, it can be taken out with tweezers. If it is level with the skin or slightly sunken into the body, the thumb and index finger of one hand can be used to vertically press down on both sides of the needle hole to expose the broken end and then remove it with tweezers. If the broken end is completely sunken into the muscle layer, it should be located under X-ray in the hospital and removed by surgery. To avoid broken needles, good quality and rust-free needles should be selected. When inserting the needle, the entire needle body should not be inserted into the body. In the event of needle stagnation or bending, it should not be pulled out by force. Needle hematoma: Small pieces do not need to be treated and can be allowed to disappear on their own. For heavier cases, cold compresses can be used to stop bleeding and then hot compresses can be applied, combined with gentle local kneading to promote the disappearance of blood stasis. Residual symptoms: Due to heavy manipulation or long-term needle retention, a small number of patients may experience local residual soreness, heaviness, numbness and other discomforts. These symptoms can be treated with gentle local massage or moxibustion with moxa sticks. Those who injure tissues and organs and suffer serious conditions should be sent to the hospital immediately. |
