What to do if low-density lipoprotein cholesterol is too high

Maybe everyone doesn’t know what low-density lipoprotein cholesterol is. Generally speaking, there are good and bad cholesterol. The “good” cholesterol is called high-density cholesterol, and the “bad” cholesterol is called low-density lipoprotein cholesterol. Most people have high levels of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol due to irregular lifestyles, which can seriously lead to coronary heart disease, so we must take appropriate measures to treat high levels of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol.

1. High low-density lipoprotein levels are generally caused by high blood lipid levels. In the absence of other disease interventions, you should first adjust your diet, reduce fat intake, eat more vegetables and fruits, drink plenty of water, quit smoking and drinking, don't eat junk food outside, and eat less salt. In order to lower cholesterol, you should also reduce the intake of some high-cholesterol foods, especially animal offal such as heart and liver. The principle is to eat no more than three or four eggs a week, especially try to eat less egg yolks, including various fish eggs, crab roe, etc. Vegetable oil should be used for cooking. In addition, the amount of sugar must be limited, and it is best to avoid consuming pure sugar foods or drinks. Try to eat less whole milk, chocolate milk, cream and various cheeses, and eat more skim milk and soy milk.

2. In addition to controlling your diet, you should also increase exercise to promote fat metabolism. Pay attention to adjusting your personal work and rest time, not staying up late, and reduce the interference of endocrine disorders in fat metabolism. Adjust your personal emotions, avoid excessive tension, and maintain a happy mood.

3. In addition to diet and exercise, people with cardiovascular diseases need to use medication to intervene. They can take some lipid-lowering drugs to assist in treatment, such as Xuezhikang, etc. At the same time, they should go to the hospital regularly to check changes in blood lipids to prevent the occurrence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.

In addition to the above methods for treating high LDL cholesterol, we must also adjust our lifestyle habits in our daily lives, quit smoking and drinking, and get enough sleep. In addition, if the low-density cholesterol is too high, you must go to the hospital for treatment, otherwise it may induce coronary heart disease and atherosclerotic plaques, endangering our health.
