Treatment methods after ventricular septum thickness

Treatment methods after ventricular septum thickness

When the ventricular septum thickness exceeds the standard, our heart will become abnormal, which is very detrimental to our health. When the ventricular septum thickness exceeds the standard, it will not only affect our heartbeat, but also our whole body. It can be said that a small move will affect the whole body. Therefore, we must pay great attention to this issue and actively and effectively seek various effective methods for treatment. Maybe everyone does not know much about the ventricular septum thickness. Let us follow the article to understand the relevant situation of the ventricular septum thickness.

Treatment:

1. Medical treatment

It is mainly used to prevent and treat infective endocarditis, lung infection and heart failure.

2. Surgical treatment

Defect repair can be performed under direct vision. Patients with small defects and normal X-rays and electrocardiograms do not need surgery. If there is or is no pulmonary hypertension and the main shunt is left-to-right, surgery is most effective between 4 and 10 years old. If symptoms appear early or there is heart failure, surgery can also be performed in infancy. Patients with significant pulmonary hypertension and mainly bidirectional or right-to-left shunts are not suitable for surgery.

Surgical method: Under general anesthesia with endotracheal intubation, a median sternotomy incision was made and extracorporeal circulation was established. After blocking the cardiac circulation, the anterior wall of the right ventricular outflow tract is cut open. Although various types of ventricular septal defects can be exposed, there will be some damage to the myocardium, affecting right heart function and damaging the right bundle branch. Currently, the right atrial incision approach is often used, which can better expose the membranous defect. For high-positioned defects, the pulmonary artery approach is preferred. Smaller defects with fibrous tissue on the edges can be sutured directly, while defects smaller than 1 cm can be repaired with polyester fabric.

If patients with septal defects do not have other discomfort symptoms, surgical treatment as soon as possible is recommended. There are four surgical options for treating simple ventricular septal defect in adults: conventional extracardiac thoracotomy, right axillary small incision surgery, thoracoscopic surgery, and cardiology interventional closure. The best treatment plan for adult ventricular septal defect can be determined based on the size, location, age and personal condition of the defect.

For adults with ventricular septal defect, the surgical feasibility of ventricular septal defect combined with pulmonary hypertension should be evaluated first, and appropriate surgical treatment should be selected based on the examination results. For adults with ventricular septal defect, postoperative follow-up should be strengthened after surgical treatment to ensure the effectiveness of surgical treatment of ventricular septal defect in adults.

The above content introduces us to some related issues about the thickness of the ventricular septum. We can learn about the thickness of the ventricular septum through these articles. We must not talk about this issue in general terms, but we must increase the importance of it from the bottom of our hearts. Heart problems are always a big problem. We need to pay special attention to it and better treat our own problems.
