Symptoms of gluteal muscle contracture

Symptoms of gluteal muscle contracture

I believe that everyone is not very familiar with the disease of gluteal muscle contracture in daily life, because this disease is not very common in life. However, the treatment of this disease also requires long-term persistence. Let us take a look at the symptoms of gluteal muscle contracture.

Symptoms:

1. Abnormal gait, with the foot walking in an outward "eight" position (external rotation of the foot) when walking or running, and the running and jumping are not flexible.

2. When standing, the lower limbs cannot be completely brought together and are slightly externally rotated.

3. When sitting, keep your knees apart and do not bring them together.

4. The hip joint cannot always maintain a neutral position for flexion and extension. When the hip is flexed to about 90°, the hip flexion is limited and the hip can only be abducted and externally rotated to continue flexing the hip, and the two hips cannot be adducted and brought together. Part of the skin on the buttocks can be seen sunken into grooves, and hard cords can be felt. In severe cases, there are subcutaneous adhesions. In severe cases, the knees cannot be brought together when squatting, like a frog pose. There may be a popping sound when the hip joint is flexed and extended.

Gluteal myofascial contracture is a disease caused by degeneration and contracture of the gluteal fascia and some muscle fibers due to some reasons. This is a rare disease whose cause is not yet clear. It is currently believed to be caused by repeated injections of drugs into the buttocks muscles. The main clinical manifestations are abnormal gait and abduction and external rotation contracture deformity of the hip joint. Patients often have a history of multiple intramuscular injections of medication into the buttocks. This disease often occurs in children and is more common on both sides. This disease generally requires surgical treatment. Good therapeutic effects can be achieved, and general functional recovery is satisfactory.

The above article gives you a detailed introduction to the symptoms of gluteal muscle fascia contracture. I believe you have a preliminary understanding of it. In fact, if you encounter such a situation, you should go to the hospital for treatment and examination in time.
