We often see reports about bleeding gums in dental advertisements. You may think that as long as you use the right toothpaste you can prevent gum bleeding. In fact, it is not just like that. Being on a high cliff is one aspect. In fact, preventing it from a farther distance is the most fundamental. Only by understanding the causes of gum bleeding can we prevent these situations from happening. 1. Tartar stimulation: Due to lack of regular brushing, the plaque attached to the teeth gradually forms tartar, which will constantly irritate the gums and cause gum inflammation and bleeding. 2. Caries irritate the teeth. Dark brown cavities are formed near the gums due to tooth decay. Their edges are uneven and sharp, which often irritate the gums to cause ulcers and bleeding. 3. Periodontal disease When lesions occur around the teeth, the main symptoms are gingival edema, inflammation, and congestion and dilation of new blood vessels, which can often cause bleeding when chewing or brushing teeth. If periodontal disease occurs, it may develop into alveolar abscess or loose teeth, and gingival bleeding may be more likely to occur. The above are the most common local causes of gingival bleeding. Some systemic diseases can also cause bleeding gums. Such as blood diseases, including various types of leukemia, hemophilia, thrombocytopenic purpura, aplastic anemia, granulocytopenia, etc. Clinically, it has been found that some tumors growing on the gums, including tumors that have metastasized to the gums from other parts of the body, are prone to bleeding. Certain diseases such as cirrhosis, hypersplenism, late-stage nephritis, etc. can cause low coagulation function or severe anemia due to lack of vitamin C, which may also cause bleeding gums. For those who suffer from bleeding gums due to systemic diseases mentioned above, they should go to the hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible. In addition, some women may experience gingival bleeding during puberty or pregnancy due to changes in endocrine regulation. Most of the bleeding can heal on their own after this period and generally no special treatment is required. If your gums are bleeding, you should first go to the hospital to find out the cause of the bleeding. If it is caused by periodontitis or gingivitis, you need to go to the dentistry department for treatment, and at the same time, strengthen oral hygiene. If the bleeding gums are caused by systemic diseases, you should go to the internal medicine department for examination as soon as possible to get a clear diagnosis, and at the same time, use 1% to 3% hydrogen peroxide solution to rinse your mouth to prevent oral infection and bad breath caused by bleeding. Treatment (1) Brush your teeth with a soft-bristled toothbrush immediately after each meal. Follow the two “3s” rule, i.e. brush your teeth three times a day for minutes each time and brush vertically. Alternatively, rinse your mouth with warm, lightly salted water after each meal. (2) The gums can be rinsed locally with 3% hydrogen peroxide or 0.1% potassium permanganate solution, wiped dry, and then coated with iodine glycerin. (3) Boil 50-100 grams of raw watermelon seeds in water and drink it to treat bleeding teeth and gums. (4) Mix equal parts of quicklime and sugar, grind them evenly, apply a small amount to the affected area to treat bleeding between teeth and bleeding from gums. (5) Take 15 grams each of raw ginger, cooked rehmannia and 1 egg and boil them in water. Eat the egg and drink the soup. This can cure periodontitis and bleeding gums. These treatments are only secondary. We should pay more attention to the care of our teeth in our daily lives and develop good living habits to prevent the occurrence of adverse phenomena such as bleeding teeth and gums. Although it is not just because of bad living habits, it is definitely a reason. We should also take good care of our teeth in time to avoid various dental diseases. |
