What is urban crowding syndrome

What is urban crowding syndrome

Today's society is developing very rapidly, and the real estate market is developing even more rapidly. At a glance, buildings are rising up everywhere, some newly built, some under construction, densely packed together. The crowded community has buildings piled up one after another. This situation will have a certain psychological impact on people with poor psychological endurance. That is the city crowding syndrome. So what is urban crowding syndrome? Let me introduce it to you today.

Symptoms

Urban crowding syndrome makes people feel anxious and irritable when seeing crowded environments. I feel tired and annoyed when I see the crowds of people. Because, in a crowded state, people touch and interfere with each other, their muscles will become abnormally tense, which can easily cause mental fatigue and lead to visceral dysfunction, causing dizziness, loss of appetite, muscle stiffness, joint discomfort, and increased heart rate. Statistics show that the incidence rates of hypertension, heart disease, neurasthenia and mental illness among urban residents are higher than those among rural residents.

Reasons

First of all, in terms of social pathogenic factors, environmental pollution, noise and poor traffic caused by crowding make it easy for diseases to spread, make people feel dizzy and irritable, and also easily cause fatigue, palpitations, chest tightness and even difficulty breathing. Secondly, in terms of psychological factors, people who live in crowded environments for a long time are prone to mental imbalance due to high tension and anxiety. A typical example is why some people get angry in a crowded car, often quarreling over trivial matters, or even getting physical.

In fact, this is precisely because crowding causes disorders in the regulatory function of people's cerebral cortex, which in turn leads to psychological disorders and makes it easy to produce abnormal excitement, which can easily explode if one is not careful.

Secondly, from the perspective of biological pathogenic factors, in crowded conditions, the air is mixed with various bacteria and viruses due to the large number of people; and the heat accumulated by people is not easy to dissipate, causing the ambient temperature to rise, which is conducive to the enhancement of the activity of bacteria and viruses. In this way, bacteria and viruses can easily invade the human body and cause the spread or epidemic of disease.

Through the above introduction, I believe everyone has a certain understanding of what urban crowding syndrome is. In fact, it is a psychological disease of people. They can't stand the complicated social environment. Traffic jams will make them anxious and angry, and even go into shock in serious cases.
