5 negative effects of job aversion

5 negative effects of job aversion

It’s well said that “love what you do”, but it seems a little difficult to actually do this. However, too many people are engaged in a career that is not their hobby or even goes against their preferences, which leads to disgust and has a negative impact on their health.

1. Hating your job can make you gain weight

There is a strong correlation between being in a career that you hate and gaining weight. Researchers believe that worrying about something that makes you unhappy every day will consume a lot of physical and mental energy, causing people to lose interest in exercise and affecting their dietary choices. For example, if you spend a whole day outside making money by being unhappy, a high-calorie dessert or ice cream when you get home is of course the best choice to relieve stress. The result is a rapid increase in weight and a vicious cycle.

2. Dislike of work will increase mental burden

Long working hours and high work pressure are important reasons that increase our mental burden. However, after a deeper analysis, we found that the reason why people are unhappy at work is not because of the heavy workload. In fact, fulfilling work can bring people infinite positive energy, and they will be very happy even if the workload is heavy. However, if you work in a job you don't like, have to face a work environment you hate, and force yourself to connect with a magnetic field that is not suitable for you, this negative energy is truly fatal.

3. Disliking your job can make your relationship worse

Besides being unlikely to lead to real improvement in our work, being stuck in a job we hate can seriously affect our daily lives and damage our relationships with our partners and family members. Studies have shown that people who don't like their jobs are generally less satisfied with their sex lives and their family life happiness index is also below average. Statistics show that men who have a good relationship with their partners live an average of six years longer.

4. Disliking your job can significantly reduce your sleep quality and immunity

The overflowing negative energy will keep you awake all night, and it is not uncommon to stare at the ceiling with your eyes open until dawn. The impact of lack of sleep on the body's immune function cannot be ignored. Going home tired all day and not being able to sleep well at night is like working a night shift. How can the body withstand this?

5. Dislike of work is a major

One of the potential causes of the disease: A long-term survey of 20,000 professional nurses showed that being in an unhappy job for a long time would double the risk of these professional nurses developing major diseases, including cancer, heart disease, diabetes, etc.

Here are four ways to stay motivated all the time:

1. Learn what to do - Continuous education is essential if you want to maintain your passion for your work. Someone once taught me that if you want to stay fresh about anything, explore and dig deep. And the increasingly sufficient professional knowledge reserves will also make you more passionate. My new life goal is to make my blog more meaningful. So the first thing I did was find a leader in this field who was making tens of millions of dollars a year from blogging, and I became his student. I recruit employees in the same way, which allows them to grow in the field and continue doing work they love.

2. Love what you do – Like everyone I talk to, I’ve had countless times when I wasn’t excited about the work I was doing. But by constantly completing tasks, I discovered what I really like to do, allowed myself to do what I like, and then kept pursuing it. I sold my website design after 7 years of faithfully working for my clients. Now do I hate these things so much that I want to completely eliminate them from my life? No! I’ve simply determined what’s best for me and my team, and now we’re focusing on working on the projects we’re truly passionate about. Just like marriage, just because you are tired of your partner, you have to divorce and change your partner? If love fades, you don’t just give up. This is the time for us to reflect and rekindle our passion. My wife and I have been doing this over the years, and that's why, not only do I love what I do, I am also still deeply and faithfully in love with my wife after 28 years of marriage.

3. Manage what you do – When I came out of the coffee shop this morning, I was going to pick up my little girl because her car broke down, and then I was going to head to my office because that’s where my “Big Six” was waiting for me. Here are six things I will accomplish today as a habit that will keep me moving forward in whatever I’m doing. I always write this list on a piece of white paper in advance. I cross off each task as I complete it. If any task is not completed on the same day, it must be put on the next day's list. By doing this step I never have to ask myself what I am going to do next, and when I start work every morning I am full of motivation because the list has taught me how to manage what I do.

4. Teach what you do – teaching and learning go hand in hand. I first tried to be a teacher, but never wanted to be in a classroom with 30 students who were not my own. But the idea of teaching and educating people still remains in my heart. Currently, I am a mentor to four entrepreneurs, teaching them how to run a business successfully. Additionally, I teach thousands of people through articles on my blog, like the one I am writing now. I have also been invited by different business groups to give speeches at various events. I love teaching because when I teach others new ideas and methods, I am able to apply them to my own work. Teaching and learning benefit each other.
