There are many benefits of “Cat Style” for health preservation

In order to maintain health and wellness, modern people have studied various exercise methods. The traditional Five Animals Exercise is a traditional Chinese fitness method that imitates the movements of five animals: tiger, deer, bear, ape, and bird (crane) to maintain health and strengthen the body. The "cat style" health regimen is a method of relieving insomnia and back pain by imitating the movements and actions of a cat.

Morning "cat-style" stretch

After waking up every morning, lie on the bed, spread your arms, straighten and close your legs, stick out your buttocks, arch your waist like a cat arching its spine, then lower your raised buttocks, and repeat it dozens of times; or kneel on the bed with your knees and hands, shrug your shoulders, arch your back and shrink your abdomen, arch your spine, then relax your shoulders, sink your waist and back to make the spine concave, and stretch like a cat. The bigger the movement, the better, and you should stretch it to the limit as much as possible. This can promote the smooth flow of qi and blood throughout the body and prevent diseases such as back pain.

Cat pose yoga at noon

Keep your body in a kneeling position, stretch your arms forward, support yourself with your hands, exhale slowly and arch your back, pull your abdomen inward, and bring your chin as close to your chest as possible. Focus your attention on the parts of your body that are prone to soreness, hold your breath, and maintain the above movements for 10-15 seconds. Then tilt your head back and inhale, hold your breath for another 10-15 seconds and then relax.

Catwalk in the evening

If people walk on tiptoe, they can be as silent as a cat, and walking on tiptoe has many benefits to the human body. You can try this way of walking when you take a stroll after dinner. When walking quietly on tiptoe, you will feel that the flexor muscles in the soles of your feet and the backs of your calves are very tense. This is much more intense than exercising the flexor muscles during normal walking.

Sleeping on your back at night

There are many ways for cats to sleep, but most cats sleep by lying on their right side with their hind legs slightly bent, their right front leg naturally bent to the right side of the body close to the head, and their left leg naturally downward and slightly straightened. Falling asleep in this position will not harm your energy, and will help you fall asleep quickly.
