Revealing 7 kinds of minor illnesses that can easily turn into cancer if left untreated

Cancer is like the devil, people don't want to have anything to do with it. Some people even worry that they are being attacked by some kind of cancer when they feel a little unwell. Although this may be a bit alarmist, some common diseases do have an inextricable link with cancer.

hepatitis

Primary liver cancer is one of the common malignant tumors in humans. Data shows that there are 500,000 to 1 million new cases each year worldwide. More than half of the cases are in China, and there is a clear relationship between hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection and the occurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma.

Early antiviral treatment of chronic hepatitis and prevention of cirrhosis are very important, which can reduce the incidence of cirrhosis and liver cancer. The prevention measures for hepatitis B mainly include preventing mother-to-child transmission, blood transmission and vaccinating with hepatitis B vaccine. There is currently no vaccine for hepatitis C, so it is necessary to prevent mother-to-child transmission, preventive injections, blood transfusions, surgical contamination, and sexual transmission.

Chronic ulcerative disease

Oral ulcers and gastric ulcers are very common, and many people often do not take these "minor illnesses" seriously. However, chronic ulcers may turn into cancer if they persist for a long time.

Oral ulcers generally heal in 7-10 days with proper treatment. However, if the same ulcer does not heal after several weeks or even months, you should suspect oral cancer and see a doctor in the hospital.

The same is true for gastric ulcers. Many recurrent chronic gastric ulcers have turned into cancer.

diabetes

Studies have shown that the incidence of cancer in diabetic patients is higher than that in non-diabetic patients.

The cancers include endometrial cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, etc. This is related to the high incidence of obesity among diabetic patients and also to high blood sugar.

Gastrointestinal polyps

Many gastrointestinal cancers are caused by the malignant transformation of polyps, especially colon adenomatous polyps, which have a higher rate of canceration.

A survey shows that the incidence of colon cancer in patients with colon polyps is 3-5 times higher than that in the general population, and in those with multiple incidences it can be 10 times higher. The canceration of gastrointestinal polyps is affected by many factors, such as size, pathological type, number, etc. Once diagnosed, we should actively respond and properly handle it.

Human papillomavirus (HPV)

The occurrence of cervical cancer is mostly related to human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, which is often transmitted through sexual behavior.

Therefore, try to minimize premarital sex and unsafe sexual practices in extramarital affairs. Using condoms is an important measure to protect women from viral infection.

Cystic Breast Hyperplasia

According to statistics, about 20% of cases of long-term uncured adenomatous hyperplasia may undergo malignant transformation.

Women with cystic breast hyperplasia are four times more likely to develop breast cancer than healthy women. Patients with cystic breast hyperplasia are reminded to have regular check-ups for early detection and treatment.

Thyroid nodules

The occurrence of thyroid nodules is related to age, gender and history of neck radiation exposure.

Statistics show that the incidence of thyroid nodules in women is four times that of men. Multiple thyroid nodules are mostly benign, but for a single thyroid nodule, it is important to rule out malignant tumors. If you find a lump in your thyroid gland, go to the hospital for examination immediately.
