However, if your hair suddenly turns white within a period of time, it is mostly caused by a disorder of qi in the body. At this time, treatment should be targeted at the cause, and the white hair can often turn black again.

2. Excessive worry can cause premature graying of hair

Modern medicine believes that excessive worry, panic, fright and mental fatigue can cause spasms in the blood vessels that supply nutrition to the hair, resulting in impaired melanin secretion, thus leading to the formation of gray hair. For example, people often encounter this situation in their lives. When their career is not going well, or a family member dies, or they suffer a serious illness, a lot of white hair will grow in a short period of time, or even all their hair will turn white in a short period of time. This is actually caused by the influence of emotions.

Emotional depression or excessive worry can lead to liver depression and qi stagnation, which disrupts the circulation of qi and blood, resulting in the blood being unable to nourish the hair and causing it to turn white. This type of people usually also have symptoms such as dry mouth and throat, indigestion, chest tightness and abdominal bloating, which are most common in middle-aged people who are under greater pressure.

In daily life, you should eat more fresh vegetables, have a light and diversified diet, overcome bad habits such as picky eating, and balance the nutrition in the body, so as to achieve the effect of preventing gray hair through diet therapy. You can also eat some nourishing foods, such as walnuts, sesame seeds, fungus, etc., which help hair growth. When signs of gray hair begin to appear, you can take some Chinese medicine to nourish the kidneys, such as drinking processed Polygonum multiflorum with water instead of tea.
