Eating slowly can help relieve psychological stress

New research has shown that psychological stress can increase a person's blood pressure, compress the heart's coronary arteries, cause them to spasm, increase the level of harmful substances in the blood, and cause blood clots. In the long run, it can easily lead to coronary artery sclerosis and myocardial weakness. Stress can be found everywhere in life. Since it cannot be avoided, for the sake of our own health, we should learn to coexist with stress without endangering our health and reduce our own psychological pressure.

1. Eat slowly

One of the manifestations of modern people's busyness is irregular eating habits. Even if they have time to eat, they often just take a few bites. In the long run, it will not only be bad for your body, but will also cause psychological tension. So, learn to take enough time to eat and chew slowly.

2. Empty your mind appropriately, let go of your thinking and relax your brain

For example, you can imagine yourself sitting on the flat green grass under the blue sky and white clouds, admiring the beautiful scenery and enjoying the gentle breeze of nature. Relax your body and mind, restore your energy, and feel serene, tranquil and peaceful.

3. Arrange your time reasonably

Everyone has many things that they must do, should do, and want to do every day. After a busy day, do you find that there are many things that you must do but have not done? During busy time, you must know how to prioritize and give full consideration to the overall arrangement of time. This way, you won’t feel more stressed when things that need to be done are not completed.

4. Smell the sesame oil

When people are depressed, they can smell the essential oil, which can stimulate or calm the nerve cells in the human brain's limbic system through our olfactory nerves, and is very effective in relieving nervous and psychological stress.

5. Cry if you want to

When our mental stress accumulates to a certain level, crying can relieve our emotions and relieve our stress. The secretion of tears can also bring out some toxins in the body, which is beneficial both physically and mentally. When you feel psychological pressure, don't keep it deep in your heart, as it will accumulate and lead to bigger psychological problems.

6. Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it.

What everyone should be aware of is that there are no perfectly capable people in this world. Even the most successful people will need help from others and need others to listen to them. So don't be afraid. When you need help, be sure to find someone you trust to seek advice and help.

7. List your stressors

When you feel serious pressure in life, work, and emotions, you can list them separately. When you write them all down on paper, you will find that it is not difficult to break them down one by one, and you can resolve them.

8. When you feel stressed, figure out what is making you nervous.

Be realistic in your expectations of yourself and others, and set sensible and achievable goals.

9. Read more when you have time

The saying that there is a golden house in books is actually true. We cannot go out often and cannot fully experience the outside world. Reading more books can make us have more understanding of this society and have more yearning for this world. Imperceptibly, people's vision will become broader and more far-sighted, their minds will become more open, and they will not be so easily defeated by pressure.

10. Make sure you have some time to relax every day, even if you’re working

No matter how busy you are, you must learn to relax. You should arrange time every day to get away from work and housework, and give your body and mind a thorough rest. The purpose of rest is to walk a longer distance, and many people relax by listening to music, taking a bath, watching comedies, etc. In addition, getting enough sleep every day is very important.
