Steaming rice in a microwave oven

Steaming rice in a microwave oven

Steaming rice in a microwave oven is a common method in life. Microwave ovens are commonly used electrical appliances in daily life. They are mainly suitable for cooking. They mainly use some electromagnetic waves and magnetic field reactions. They are relatively fast and energy-saving, environmentally friendly, safe and pollution-free. The rice cooked in a microwave oven in daily life is also sweeter and more delicious. It takes less time than steaming rice in a rice cooker. Rice heated in a microwave oven is also sweeter and more delicious.

The heating time in a microwave oven is also relatively short. When steaming rice in a microwave oven, the rice must be washed and soaked for a longer time, otherwise the steamed rice may not taste good. Depending on the type of rice, a certain amount of water should be added according to market conditions and then cooked in the microwave.

Microwave Rice

1. Wash the rice first (it is best not to use more than enough rice for three people); 2. Pour the rice into a plastic container specially designed for microwave ovens (the lid must have air holes, and it is best to use the larger plastic container with a yellow lid that the merchant gives you when you buy a microwave oven), pour in clean water (warm water is best) and soak for no more than half an hour (the steamed rice will not be raw and will be easy to cook after soaking, and it also saves time, but the soaking time should not be too long, otherwise the steamed rice will have no fragrance). 3 Replace the water used to soak the raw rice with warm water (the principle is the same as above, cold water is also fine, but the steaming time will be slightly longer). Because the rice has already been soaked, the water added can be slightly less than when using an electric rice cooker, just one centimeter more than the rice (no more than 2 centimeters at most). Put the lid on (also the inner lid to prevent boiling over), put the rice in the microwave, set to high heat, and set the timer for 6-8 minutes (depending on the amount of rice); 4 Take out and open the container, stir the rice with a rice spatula; 5 Put the lid on, and use medium heat (high heat is also OK) and set the timer for 3-5 minutes (if there is less rice, 3 minutes will be enough). 6 Take the container out of the microwave. Do not open the lid at this time. Be sure to use the residual heat to simmer for a while (5-10 minutes) before opening the lid. OK, the rice is ready. 7 There are three key points to pay attention to when steaming rice in a microwave oven: first, the raw rice must be soaked in advance; second, it must be stirred after the first period of time; third, after the rice is steamed, do not open the lid immediately, but let the residual heat simmer for a while. Also be sure to add the right amount of water. 8 Rice cooked in a microwave oven takes less time than rice steamed in a rice cooker, and it is sweeter and more delicious. If there is leftover rice, just heat it in the microwave for one minute when you eat it in the next meal, and it will taste as delicious as freshly steamed rice. This is something that electric rice cookers cannot achieve.

The above is a brief introduction to steaming rice in a microwave oven. Rice cooked in a microwave oven takes less time than rice steamed in an electric rice cooker and is sweeter and more delicious. At the same time, when steaming rice in a microwave oven, you must wash and soak the rice for a longer time, otherwise the steamed rice will not taste good and will not be very sweet and delicious. After the rice is steamed, do not open the lid immediately, but let it simmer for a while with the residual heat.
