Gas water heater

Gas water heater

What is the difference between a direct-discharge gas water heater and a forced direct-discharge water heater when in use? When using a forced exhaust water heater, you can use some particularly long heat transfer tubes and a heat exchanger with a particularly large metal contact area. The working principle is actually to transfer the heat of the burned gas to the metal sheet for heating. I hope we can understand this.

There are actually many classifications of gas water heaters. When household gas is used quickly, the water heaters are actually classified into direct-discharge gas water heaters and flue-type water heaters according to the flue gas emission method, which still include forced-discharge water heaters and balanced water heaters.

Since the waste gas from direct exhaust gas water heaters is discharged directly into the room, and the flue gas contains toxic gases such as carbon monoxide, it can easily pollute the indoor air and cause safety accidents. Therefore, the sale of direct exhaust water heaters has been banned by the state since May 1, 2000. Therefore, the direct-discharge gas water heaters currently used in users' homes have already exceeded the scrapping age of 8 years, and even most households have been using direct-discharge water heaters for more than 10 years, exacerbating safety risks.

The water flow rate of direct-discharge gas water heaters is mostly 5 liters or 6 liters. Due to the small water flow rate, the comfort of bathing is significantly reduced, especially in winter. The thermal efficiency of direct-exhaust gas water heaters is around 80%, while the thermal efficiency of forced-exhaust gas water heaters is mostly above 88%. All gas water heaters are products that meet the second-level energy efficiency standards or above. The thermal efficiency of the condensing gas water heaters it pioneered has reached 98%. Therefore, in terms of thermal efficiency, forced-exhaust gas water heaters are more energy-efficient than direct-exhaust gas water heaters.

When we are using and disposing of direct-discharge gas water heaters, in order to avoid the recurrence of safety hazards, we must forcibly recall and destroy them when using this type of direct-discharge gas water heater. Only then can it benefit our safety, and I hope we have some understanding of this knowledge.
