In daily life, there are a lot of common sense that we need to know, so that when such problems arise, we know how to solve them. What should we do if we have skin allergies? Many people have had such problems, but many people don’t know how to solve them. In fact, there are some good methods. For serious cases, they need to go to the hospital for treatment. This will not cause any harm to the body. Severe skin diseases will cause the body to suffer from other diseases, which is something you should know. So what should we do if we have skin allergies? The following is a detailed introduction so that we know what to do when such problems arise in life, and we will also have a better understanding of skin allergies. 1. What is allergy? Allergy is an abnormal reaction of the body, which is an abnormal reaction of people to normal substances (allergens). Allergies only occur when allergens come into contact with people with allergic constitutions. There are hundreds of allergens, including pollen, dust, foreign proteins, chemicals, ultraviolet rays, etc. For some allergies, the allergens cannot even be found. The incidence of allergic diseases accounts for about 20% of the population, occurring in all age groups from newborns to middle-aged and elderly people. It has no obvious gender characteristics but has obvious genetic characteristics. (II) Causes of allergies There are two types of cells in the human body, namely mast cells and alkaliphilic granulocytes, which are widely distributed in the nasal mucosa, bronchial mucosa, gastrointestinal mucosa, around the microvessels in the connective tissue under the skin and in the capsule of the internal organs. These two types of cells contain allergic mediators such as histamine, leukotrienes, 5-hydroxytryptamine, and kinase. Under the stimulation of environmental factors such as chemicals, air pollution, and sunlight radiation, a large number of free radicals will be produced in the body. If the free radicals are not removed in time after oxidation, they will damage the cell membranes of mast cells and alkaliphils, causing cell membrane denaturation and leading to cell instability. When unstable cells encounter allergens, antigens and antibodies react specifically, causing cell membrane degranulation and the release of allergic mediators. These allergic mediators can cause smooth muscle contraction, capillary dilation, increased permeability, mucus secretion and tissue damage, thereby triggering allergic reactions. Allergic substances combine with the bronchial mucosa, nasal mucosa, and skin blood vessels, causing allergic rhinitis with sneezing and runny nose, allergic asthma with constant wheezing, and allergic dermatitis with itchy skin. In the process of allergic reaction, allergic mediators play a direct role. Allergens are the external causes of allergic symptoms, while low immune capacity of the body and oxidative damage to mast cells and alkali phagocytes by a large number of free radicals are the internal causes of allergies. In addition, according to traditional Chinese medicine theory and the latest research results, allergies are mainly caused by wind, dampness and heat in the blood and skin, or by blood heat and external wind. That is, it is closely related to the fact that there are certain toxins in the human blood. (III) Conventional methods for treating allergies Antihistamine therapy. Antihistamine therapy is the use of antihistamine drugs, such as chlorpheniramine, astemizole, minclerotin, Claritin, etc. The disadvantage is that antihistamine treatment only works on histamine, an allergic mediator, and has little effect on allergies caused by other allergic mediators. Antihistamines temporarily resolve allergic symptoms, but the basis for allergy occurrence has not changed. Under the stimulation of allergens, allergic mediators are still being released continuously, so even if antihistamine treatment temporarily improves the condition, it will still recur. So what should we do if we have skin allergies? Through the above introduction, we have some understanding. Treatment according to the above methods will be of great help to people with skin allergies. However, during the treatment process, we must also pay attention to diet and not eat spicy food, which will be beneficial to the treatment of the disease. |
