What are the advanced symptoms of ovarian cancer

What are the late-stage symptoms of ovarian cancer?

Ovarian malignancy is one of the most common malignant tumors of the female reproductive organs, and its incidence rate is second only to cervical cancer and uterine body cancer. Epithelial cancer is the most common type of ovarian malignancy, followed by malignant germ cell tumors. The mortality rate of ovarian epithelial cancer ranks first among various gynecological tumors, posing a serious threat to women's lives.

Early symptoms of ovarian cancer:

1. Low menstrual flow, menopause

One of the most common early symptoms of ovarian cancer is less menstruation and menopause. Most ovarian cancer patients' menstruation is basically not affected, the increase in ovarian function will slowly decrease, and then the spread of cancer cells will affect the tissue structure of the ovaries. Under this influence, the amount of menstruation will become less and less, and even menopause will occur.

2. Sex hormone disorder

Ovarian cancer can also cause symptoms of sex hormone disorders. The causes of ovarian cancer are more numerous and complex, and are more affected by tissues and organs. Ovarian cancer can cause relatively large fluctuations in some hormones. Ovarian cancer is responsible for secreting more estrogen. When ovarian cancer secretes more estrogen, it can cause symptoms such as irregular menstruation, vaginal bleeding after menopause, or precocious puberty.

3. Low back pain and abdominal pain

One of the more common symptoms is back pain because in the early stages of ovarian cancer, due to the growth of the tumor, the tissue structures around the ovaries will form adhesions, which can cause back pain and abdominal pain.

4. Edema of lower limbs and vulva

In the early stages of ovarian cancer, ovarian tumors will increase, which will naturally compress the pelvic veins, block blood flow, and hinder lymphatic return. Poor lymphatic flow can cause edema in the lower limbs and vulva.

Ovarian cancer is a malignant tumor that can metastasize and spread, causing extreme exhaustion of the body and ultimately endangering life. In the late stage of the tumor, before death, the body is severely exhausted, extremely thin, and fatigued, which makes it impossible to get out of bed and move around. Long-term bed rest causes organ failure, leading to difficulty breathing, suffocation, lack of oxygen in the body, and eventually loss of consciousness.
