What are the early symptoms of lymphoma? Are they serious?

Lymphoma is a disease that people are afraid of because the cause of the disease is not yet clear, which makes it more difficult to treat. In fact, people are afraid of cancer, but it does not mean that cancer cannot be cured. So what are the early symptoms of lymphoma? Is it serious?

It is caused by malignant proliferation of lymphoid tissue cells, mostly in lymph nodes. This disease can occur at any age, and its incidence in children ranks third among childhood malignant tumors. The peak age of lymphoma is 31-40 years old, among which the peak of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is slightly earlier. Male patients are more than female patients.

Malignant lymphoma can be seen in all age groups. Most of them also present with painless cervical and supraclavicular lymphadenopathy as the first manifestation, but they generally develop rapidly and are prone to distant spread, often involving the gastrointestinal tract, bone marrow and central nervous system, and the corresponding organs are affected. Swollen lymph nodes can compress nerves and adjacent organs and cause corresponding symptoms. 30%-50% of Hodgkin's patients have unexplained persistent or periodic fever as the main onset symptom, and fever may be accompanied by systemic symptoms such as night sweats, fatigue and weight loss.

Fever, night sweats and weight loss, usually irregular moderate fever, sometimes cyclical fever, a fever can last for days or weeks, followed by a fever-free period of varying lengths, which gradually shortens and develops into a persistent high fever. If the patient has superior vena cava obstruction or bone marrow insufficiency, leukocytopenia and thrombocytopenia, it is due to mediastinal lymph node enlargement and bone marrow infiltration, which is a symptom of advanced lymph node malignancy. Early detection and treatment are relatively easy, so don't worry too much.
