Causes of neck pain due to laryngeal cancer

Neck pain caused by laryngeal cancer is first caused by metastasis of cervical lymph nodes, and secondly by invasion of laryngeal cancer cells into the neck tissue. If there is pain in the cervical spine, bone metastasis and vertebral metastasis are required. Color Doppler ultrasound of the neck and CT bone scan of the neck are mainly used to further examine the cause of the pain. Regardless of the cause of the pain, painkillers are first needed to relieve the pain, followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Bone metastasis requires drug treatment to delay bone damage.

Because the tumor is more sensitive to radiation, early laryngeal cancer is usually treated with radiotherapy rather than surgery to maintain laryngeal function. For mid-to-late stages, surgery is usually required, combined with radiotherapy, and for total laryngectomy, laryngeal intubation should be given. At this time, the patient and his family should pay attention to intubation care to prevent infection, bleeding, etc. Active care can create a good living environment and living conditions.
