Treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma

Treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma

Treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma:

1. The treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma generally includes radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgery and other methods.

2. The incidence of nasopharyngeal carcinoma is generally related to family inheritance, viral factors, bad eating habits, living environment, region, etc. In the early stages of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, patients often experience nasal symptoms such as respiration of nasal blood and nasal congestion; tumors affecting the ears can cause tinnitus, hearing loss, etc. Brain symptoms such as headaches and diplopia, as well as manifestations such as swollen lymph nodes in the neck may also occur. The above symptoms require timely medical treatment. After the doctor inquires about the medical history in detail, he will palpate the patient's neck to determine whether there are any abnormal signs. Afterwards, the patient may be advised to undergo EBV serological tests. CT, MRI, biopsy and other tests are performed to clarify the diagnosis and rule out other diseases.

3. Obviously, nasopharyngeal carcinoma needs active treatment. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is mostly poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma, which is sensitive to radiotherapy. Radiotherapy is often the first choice of treatment, followed by chemotherapy. In a few cases, surgical treatment can also be performed. It is recommended that patients avoid excessive tension and stress, maintain a good attitude, and avoid bad emotions, so as not to affect the recovery of the disease. Usually, you should avoid eating spicy food, pay attention to a light diet, eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, and eat more high-protein, high-nutrition, and dietary fiber-rich foods. At the same time, you can do appropriate exercise, improve your physical fitness, avoid staying up late for a long time, ensure adequate sleep, and pay more attention to rest, which will help the recovery of the disease.
